A more literal rendering of the risen Jesus' words to Thomas is: "Do not be unbelieving, but believing." (John 20:27) Faith, says the Bible, is a gift, not something we can decide to have. But it won't come or grow if we refuse to stand under, listen to the witness about Jesus.

By the way, I'm a lifelong student of History and got my undergraduate degree in Social Studies Education, which is mostly history.

2. There has never been an election in the history of the Republic, so far as I know, when the results were certified by the respective states on election night. County election boards and state...

3. ... Secretaries of State, the chief elections officers in the respective states, are, overwhelmingly, particular about getting things right.

I expect that we will have a very good idea of the winners of federal, state, and county elections...
