1. Dangerous developments of massive ethnic-profiling in Addis and beyond against Tigreans. Very disturbing reports are coming in confirming unprecedented, massive state sponsored ethnic profiling against Tigreans happening in many towns and cities.
Indiscriminate and blanket arrests are being made by Abiy’s security men in thousands.
The current mayor of Addis, Adanech Ababie, was on record officially stating that she was grateful receiving actionable reports of suspicion on 2000 Tigreans in a single day.
Residents and ordinary people are being mobilized against their neighbors and colleagues, and encouraged to suspect and report on any Tigrean.
The on-going propaganda of social-militarization has eroded standard values of decency and sanity in our societies,
too sensitized to despise these criminal excesses. Clearly, we are in a state of worrying genocidal situations. This has totally nothing to do with the military offensive Abiy opened against Tigrai. Clearly, we are entering a very dangerous territory-a looming danger of genocide!
2. The National Bank of Ethiopia decided more than 600 bank branches in the Tigrai Regional State should remain closed indefinitely, in the pretext that the regional ruling party could loot them (a lame reason). This decision comes as people in the region need money for
basic needs after banks closed suddenly last Wednesday. 3. Ethnic Tigrean staff members working in consular affairs of all Ethiopian embassies abroad are all recalled (expelled), including those who have been working in the immigration offices in Ethiopia.
4. Ethiopian federal government has expelled all ethnic Tigreans from the federal police, the defense and air forces after taking back their uniform, ID Card and service issued weapons. They were firmly told to stay put at their residences.
5. Since the day the Federal Government declared war on Tigrai all services are shut down (electricity, internet, phone calls/texts, banks) by the same government. 6. All kinds of hate and prejudices based communication against the Tigrigna speaking ethnic community is
...intensified on all media institutions including online platforms and on the streets of Addis Ababa and the Amhara region. 7. Joint forces of the Federal government, Amhara regional state and the state of Eritrea (a foreign country) are attacking Tigrai Regional State.
8. Why is war declared on the Tigrai regional government and its people-because unlike the Fed. govnt, the regional state held election, declared the federal government is illegal and illegitimate, and its ruling party refused to join the prosperity party of Prime Minister Abiy.
In fact the main cause is that PM Abiy and the Unitarist camp, his enabler, are in a rush to dismantle the federal system and change the constitution without the consent of the federalist forces in the country. Tigray is one of the strongest federalist forces.
9. PM Abiy Ahmed is bombing Tigrai since the day he declared war on the region.

1/5 It has been a week since I talked to my parents and siblings who live in #Tigray. Every morning I wake up, the first thing i do is pickup my phone and check the news on twitter, facebook and other outlets to know which cities in Tigray .@AbiyAhmedAli has cluster-bombed using
2/5 his warplanes. The #Ethiopia|n government has shutdown phone, internet services to the #Tigray region. But I still hopelessly call my mom's number. Imagine how difficult it is to not be able to check on your elderly parents while COVID-19 is ravaging the nation.
3/5 The #Ethiopian government has already closed all banks, cut all food-aid programs and blocked all transport mechanisms to the region. The suffering of those who need immediate medical attention and food-aid is unimaginable.
