And: which female form is being celebrated by those statues?

A cisgender woman’s body that is considered attractive to a heterosexual male gaze.

I reject slut shaming. There is nothing wrong with nudity.

But whose terms is it on and whose body does it celebrate is the Q?

Police in #Cancun opened fire at a feminist demonstration on Monday in protest against femicide after the body of a 20yo woman was found earlier that day, 2 days after she went missing. Reporters at the protest were injured.

Who determines what is “civil” and what is “rude?” Civility, decorum, manners and the like are used to uphold authority--patriarchy, whiteness, wealth, other forms of privilege
And we are urged to acquiesce in service to maintaining that authority.
Whether we are urged to be civil to racists or polite to patriarchy, the goal is the same: to maintain the power of the racist, to maintain the power of patriarchy. Dictators, authoritarians & patriarchs demand obedience, despise disruption & are especially angered by disrespect.

Feminism is the antidote to conservatism: a robust, unapologetic, incredibly rude “Fuck You, You Will Not Get Away With This” Feminism. I don’t care who is in the White House. I am not a polite feminist. And I long ago dispensed with civility and unity.

I’m a tenaciously optimistic person. My optimism is saved from being foolish by my tenacity and that tenacity finds its teeth in feminism.
White supremacist patriarchy has erected a big tent for patriarchs of all backgrounds to enter. If you can’t be white, you can still share in patriarchal glory. White supremacy doesn’t jealously guard toxic masculinity; it does not hold a copyright over patriarchal fuckery.
