won't change the overall status. Even former Republican president #43, George Bush, has congratulated Biden-Harris.
Trump is only the 10th president in US history not to be re-elected, for two reasons: his handling of covid (primary), and his personality (secondary). It is 2/n
clear he would've won had it not been for covid, even with his personality, b/c his administration achieved a lot more than the media is giving him credit for: economy, overhauling taxes, deregulation, criminal justice reform, fighting terrorism, historic peace deals, etc. 3/n
For India, Trump was awesome. He supported India against China, cut military aid to Pakistan, issued executive orders calling Milli Muslim League, Tehreek-e-Azadi-e-Kashmir, Hizbul-Mujahideen, Al Qaida in the Indian Subcontinent as Foreign Terrorist Organizations. Plus 4/n
Trump approved the sale of 24 SeaHawk helicopters from Lockheed Martin equipped with Hellfire missiles worth $2.6 billion, and with plans for six Apache helicopters. Trump also looked the other way when India bought S-400 missiles from Russia. But covid 5/n
brought Trump down, based on many surveys. All other issues paled in comparison. When you lose your job, your unemployment benefits are cut, a loved one is sick or dies from covid, and you're tired of him mocking masks, Biden found an opening. Yes, more Indian Americans 6/n
voted for Republicans this time than ever, almost double, but majority of Indian Americans still voted Democratic. Biden's lack of a Hindu American agenda, combined with Biden's verbiage about CAA and Kashmir in his Muslim agenda, didn't get factored in by most 7/n
Hindu Americans that voted, or by most Americans in general, b/c of covid. But those agendas aren't set in stone. They can be modified by Hindu/Indian American influence. Our community raised $1.3+ million for Biden, with a similar amount raised by the larger Muslim American 8/n
community. But they wield more influence – why? Because the Muslim American community took 9/11 as a wake-up call to change US perceptions about their community. So they've been at it for 20 years. If Hindu Americans want the same level of influence, we need to work for it. 9/n
So I'm glad to see our community wake-up, especially after the rise of anti-Hindu hate groups and anti-India rhetoric, that is obviously biased and not factual. By consolidating our influence and dollars, by building alliances with other. 10/n
key ethnic groups, and stop criticizing each other in public, I am very hopeful we can positively influence the Democratic Biden administration. 11/n

UPDATE: my Twitter account was locked for 5 days after exposing a group attacking Hindu American candidates. Why? Because I posted the group's public registration form that contained their address. Apparently this incompetent group filed its papers using a private address. 1/n
Twitter rightfully does not allow posting of private information. But is it my responsibility to know that CAPI, a sham organization created just to attack Hindu candidates, registered itself using a private home address??
So after consulting an attorney, I filed an appeal. 2/n
I informed @TwitterSupport that their own rules expressly permit posting the location of a business when this information is publicly available. 3/n
Islamists are now taking their anti-Hindu attacks straight into US schools, through speech & debate competitions. Here is an upcoming debate topic for the Texas Forensic Association: "A Resolution to Curb Hindu Nationalism." It's full of lies, Hinduphobia, and hate. (1/3)
Texas Forensic Association is a high school competitive debate & speech club, that “prides itself on diversity, inclusiveness, love, and change”. So why are they propelling Hinduophobic lies? TFA needs to answer. (2/3)
Damn right she wants to normalize the swastika, @StopAntisemites. So do over a billion Hindus! Let me take one of @HinduAmerican's articles and explain why. (1/11)
In Sanskrit, the word swastika is a combination of ‘su’ (meaning ‘good’) and ‘asti’ (meaning ‘to exist’). (2/11)
Many Hindus adorn the threshold of the front entrance to their homes with the swastika. (3/11)
1. @Stairwa78009667, I commend you for finding this original letter. Over the years I have asked about 100 Kashmiri Pandit leaders about its validity and not one could vouch for it. Yet 23 KPs out of 350000+ who fled Kashmir signed it. So what does this letter mean?
2. If the letter is being used to prove that Jagmohan made KPs leave, that’s false. On March 8, 1990 all newspapers posted this message that KPs should not leave. It did mention setting up camps for KPs in the valley, which is how the Jagmohan myth was hatched. Daily Excelsior:
3. Why would KPs need security/camps in the valley? No, it wasn't to kill 8 million Muslims, but b/c mosques were blaring Dar ul Islam, "Kashmir banega Pakistan".
Because newspapers were posting articles of KP atrocities, as @rahulpandita has tabulated.
The Sushruta Samhita is the oldest surgery manual in existence – over 2000 years old. I have a copy of the multi-volume series (in Sanskrit, w/ English translation). Nasal reconstruction for trauma or cancer is still performed the same way.
The British adopted India’s surgical techniques, and for years it was thought that the British had pioneered facial reconstruction surgery. However a review of British Colonial records in India showed that they learned the techniques from Indian surgeons.
Sushruta, son of Sage Visvamitra, was the first to describe the anatomy of the human being, first to insist on training stitching techniques using fruits & vegetables. His methods of "battle field surgery" were the most scientific of the time. His instruments were so detailed.
@ramana_brf (1/3). One feedback I have repeatedly receive from senior Congressional members of both parties is that Indian Americans do not publicly thank, or financially support, their elected representatives proportionate to their affluence, compared to other ethnic groups. I agree.
@ramana_brf (2/3). The reason that the Democratic Party is so favorable to the Muslim perspective, and not as much to the Hindu perspective, is precisely due to the former's better engagement, frankly since 9/11. Let's give credit where it's due.
@ramana_brf (3/3). So passively expecting elected politicians to do something for Hindu Americans merely out of their good conscience, without engaging them, is precisely how we got to this point with the Democratic Party.
