The former Google CEO, one of America’s richest people, is taking advantage of one of the world’s most controversial “passport-for-sale” programs.

Well, here's one theory.

“Eric Schmidt cannot travel to Europe,” says one expert on the Cyprus program. “He’s like everybody else — like a lot of other high-net-worth people who want to have options.”

Eric Schmidt, the former CEO of Google, was asked today in an interview about whether regulation was the answer for our issues with AI.

His answer about regulating tech companies is...worth reading.
Eric Schmidt's point about how hard it is to specifically write regulations around specific practices is well-put.

But is the best alternative really to only regulate tech companies "as bad things happen"?
Eric Schmidt was also asked about breaking up Big Tech companies.

In response, he pointed to the proposal from @ewarren to break up Apple, which he said was a bad idea.

Just in: @Princeton announces that Wilson College — named after Woodrow Wilson — will immediately be renamed First College due to Wilson’s racism.

New letter from Princeton president Chris Eisgruber.
And more significantly — Princeton’s Wilson School, the public policy program, is also being renamed.

The Woodrow Wilson School is now the “Princeton School of Public and International Affairs.”
