In this shot: Both were in night mode and took the same (2 second) shutter time, as they did with every single other nighttime test for me. Never once saw the Pro ash for a shorter exposure, but others have ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
In daylight, the differences are mostly imperceptible, as expected.
The biggest low light difference I actually noticed between 12 Pro Max and 12 Mini was... white balance. It's a different sensor, with apparently slightly different color tuning.

At the end of the day, I'm confident with my testing... 12/Pro is already a phenomenal camera and 12 Pro Max is maybe 5-10% better in the harshest conditions. I'd buy it for the better battery over anything else 🤓
