Today Gorbie slither/dove under a tree grate and recovered an ancient salami

my poor brother in law was alone with her and he had a problem bc he is not so familiar with dogs and she was under a grate and particularly wanted to keep her salami

Jill Stauffer’s ‘Ethical Loneliness’ is so good
Soon after my sister was diagnosed I had an experience where people harmed me and I was desperately begging for help resolving it and they just responded with total indifference, like my suffering just didn’t matter at all. It was destabilizing in a deep way
On my metaethical view this kind of destabilization conceptually deep, bc our evaluative concepts are connected to other people’s in a way that makes disregard appear to us as *disagreement* with our evaluation of our worth and the significance of our pain

I know it’s been going on for like 5 years now but good lord the “why people like trump” discourse is unbelievably cursed
biting into this extremely important social phenomenon with teeth made outta mashed potatoes 2 widespread acclaim

“Hmm this civil unrest doesn’t seem strategic to me” is so fuckin loaded with american ideology, I want to write 20 papers about it
anglo culture is extremely obsessed with REASONABLENESS and being RATIONAL and people love making evaluations through that lens whether it makes sense or not
People also have all these extremely deeply held beliefs about what America is and is like—stable, just—that make it hard for them to see what is happening (social crisis)
