Once-in-a-century global pandemic.
Economic dislocation across the country.
Migrant hardships.
15 years of anti-incumbency.
Entire media ecosystem aligned against you.
Yet, the NDA wins with complete majority in Bihar.
BJP performs phenomenally. #BiharElectionResults2020 1/10
Comfortable reelection of BJP led NDA in Bihar and its sweeping victories in the by-polls, across the length and breadth of the country, is a testimony to the phenomenal popularity of PM Modi.
This popularity is not media or PR built but because of hard work on the ground. 2/10
The continued popularity of PM Modi also holds lessons. both for his detractors as well as his well wishers.
To the well wishers: Think about what did PM Modi get right in dealing with the COVID pandemic? Some of it may not sound sexy or set the pulse racing, but it works. 3/10
To the detractors of PM Modi:
If your entire polities is built around the fantasies of your Modi hating echo-chamber, then you will always get it wrong.
The eco chamber hates PM Modi for the exact reason that people of India love him - a nationalist who delivers development.4/10
PM Modi is a nationalist who consigned Article 370 to history and enacted CAA.
PM Modi is a last mile delivery man who gets free rations to 800 million people, every month, for 8 months running.
PM Modi is a reformer who has freed our farmers after decades of bondage. 5/10
PM Modi is the executor who is delivering the basic needs - a pucca house over every head which has electricity, tap water, toilet and health assurance.
PM Modi is a visionary who is building the India of tomorrow - from Start Ups to entrepreneurs to space race. 6/10
However, there is one other gear of PM Modi that we only recently saw. While delivering all round development is in itself tough, yet a leader can plan.
But who can plan to handle a situation like COVID-19? Every decision had to be done in real time with no previous template.7/10
The COVID-19 pandemic tested every global leader. One leader who got almost everything right in his response is PM Modi.
From the lockdown time, to unlock process; from delivering help to the neediest to enacting reforms-PM Modi got most of it right. Now endorsed by people. 8/10
To the Congress under Sonia / Rahul: you have spent the full year in just two activities - abusing PM Modi and trying everything in your power harm India's national interest. See where you and your party is today.
Will Congress learn any lesson? Don't hold your breath. 9/10
Finally, the politics of India has permanently shifted.
New India is nationalist. New India is unapologetic. New India is not shy of asserting its civilizational heritage. New India votes for development politics. And BJP is the vehicle for fulfilling these aspirations.10/10

Some salient features of the four labour codes passed by Parliament. #LabourReforms
There existed 44 central labour laws. 12 of them had been previously repealed.
Now 29 acts comprising 1232 sections subsumed into hugely simplified just 4 acts with 479 sections. 1/10

>Skill to be a determinant in fixing wage.

Answers to some of the questions being raised after the passage of the #FarmBill2020.
1) If MSP will stay why not write it in the bill?
Because MSP has always been an administrative mechanism and NOT legislative. This allows flexibility to increase it as and when needed. 1/10
Answers to some of the questions being raised after the passage of the #FarmBill2020.
2) How will MSP be ensured in private transactions?
Private trade will be ABOVE rate of MSP. That is the whole point. Farmer will go to private people when they get rates MORE than MSP. 2/10
Answers to some questions after the passage of the #FarmBill2020.
3) Modi govt has weakened MSP.
Let the numbers speak.
UPA in 2009-14 purchased 1.52 LMT pulses as MSP.
NDA in 2014-19 purchased 76.85 LMT at MSP.
For oil seeds numbers are 3.65 and 30.17 LMT respectively.
The letter makes some compelling points: 1) Youth overwhelmingly vote for Modi and BJP 2) Congress takes highly amateurish and uniformed positions on matters of national interest 3) Much touted NSUI reforms by Rahul Gandhi were a sham 4) Congress is super over-centralized 2/5
But hidden in the generalities is, I think, is an important message by these rebels which include no less than likes of @ghulamnazad and @KapilSibal. That message is this:
Congress was always left-of-centre party but but under Rahul Gandhi it has become extremist left. 3/5
Whenever one thinks list of Sonia Gandhi era UPA scams is over, comes along another mega scam.
Latest: Shivshankar Menon, Foreign Secretary & NSA in UPA govt., calling for US intervention in India's domestic policy.
Menon, incidentally is down his great-grandfather route. 1/5
Great-grandfather of Shivshankar Menon was C. Sankaran Nair. Below a passage (first pic) from a book by @Ram_Guha on Sankaran Nair's book "Gandhi and Anarchy".
Shivshankar Menon's great-grandfather trashed Gandhi for wanting British to be thrown out! 2/5
(second pic, Wikipedia)
One should therefore not be surprised at ancien régime loyalists like Shiv Shankar Menon. It runs in the family !
But imagine that this man, Menon, was Foreign Secretary between 2006-09 & NSA from 2010-14.
He who believes that USA should interfere in Indian politics. 3/5
Obviously @SATAVRAJEEV got enthusiastic support from the for-hire brigade in Delhi media.
Perhaps someday @RahulGandhi team of assorted thugs will realize that their antics which please the deracinated cabal is the exact reason why they are staring at the dustbin of history. 2/5
On the exact issue of the latest so called war between 'New and Old guard of Congress:
'New' thinks UPA2 was a decrepit failure. 'Old' thinks the newer ones are uninformed and thuggish.
For the first time and perhaps the only time, both camps of the Congress are right. 3/5
