Kushner also reportedly conducted some business over WhatsApp, a mobile app with some encryption security features that could help evade compliance. We have a number of FOIA requests related to his use of WhatsApp.

We’ve launched an effort to ensure that Trump appointees don’t destroy or remove key documents on their way out the door in January — and we’re prepared to file litigation under FOIA or the Federal Records Act to preserve documents.

There are still too many unanswered questions about the Trump administration.

Education Sec. Betsy DeVos’ connections to for-profit college & charter schools raise questions about her management of the department as well as serious conflicts of interest.

We already uncovered emails showing that a top aide to DeVos was working closely with officials at a failing for-profit college corporation as two of its schools lost accreditation.

The aide worked with those schools even as the schools misled students about their accreditation status and the Education Department continued to grant those students loans.

In September, we obtained a massive trove of documents from USPS that revealed a plan to mail masks to every American. The Washington Post reported the White House scrapped the plan.

Emily Murphy, a Trump political appointee at the GSA, has failed to sign a memo that would authorize President-elect Biden’s transition team to formally begin its work.

We have launched an investigation into GSA’s refusal to approve these transition resources.
We submitted two FOIA requests seeking to determine if the White House played any role in GSA's failure to comply with democratic norms. The requests ask for communications of Murphy, GSA’s general counsel, and more.

There’s still two more months of the Trump administration and we’re still working to hold top officials accountable for their corruption.

We obtained Attorney General William Barr’s calendar from May 2019 to April 2020.

The calendar entries include:

-A meeting with Sec. of State Pompeo on September 7, 2019, as President Trump and State Dept. officials were still pushing Ukraine to announce an investigation of Joe Biden’s family.
-Multiple dinners with Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump.
-An April 2020 call with faith leaders regarding Covid-19: "Give 5 min of remarks on supporting churches' rights."
