20k friends, brothers, and sisters

Thank you

Here are 20 things I've learned from Twitter on:

- Personal development
- Online business
- Twitter in general

A thread, enjoy:
1. You can land clients from Twitter

I always thought LinkedIn, cold email, ads, Facebook, etc were the only way to land clients (these a great ways ofc)

Twitter reminded me of memes and hot takes, not business

Create an offer for personal brands/agencies/creators and sell
2. Connections

The BEST way to grow is to start talking to accounts that are bigger than you

Build a genuine connection with them, talk to them like they are a bro, and they will help you grow

Much easier than hoping and praying that people RT you
3. Platitudes

Some people hate platitudes

Their brain is so big that they cannot fathom other people enjoying them (used to be me)

Don't be that guy

Tweet about whatever tf you want and don't let your ego prevent you from growing different levels of your audience
4. You never really know what you are doing

Once you think you have a concept down, the doors open and there is much more to learn

Tweet about what you know and what you are learning

Most of my tweets are just advice to my past self
5. Arguing

Don't argue on Twitter

You will lose brain cells every time - guaranteed

Close the app and go on a walk or something
6. You can learn things extremely quick

In my year on Twitter I've learned more about personal development, marketing, online biz, fitness, etc than I have in my lifetime

It is like the hyperbolic time chamber of excellence
7. Group think

Its great to be surrounded by people that think similarly

It is also dangerous

You don't want to become a blob of money twitter sales tweets, polarization, and platitudes

Limit your time on here and disconnect

Again, go on a walk or something
8. Niche

Personal brands don't necessarily need a niche, you can talk about whatever you want and still grow - you can sell w/e you want

Niche accounts can make bank

But, either way, stop overthinking it and just tweet about what you know + can teach
9. Top skills to start in online biz

- Sales/persuasion
Do high ticket sales for agencies/influencers

- Copywriting/funnels
Build your own high converting funnel (or someone else's)

- Tunnel vision
Stop switching your shit every 3 weeks and pick literally anything
10. As much of a meme that "mindset" is

It really is the most important aspect of online biz/life in general

Do some mindset/inner work asap

Mindset.
11. On Giving A Fuck:

Don't.
12. Limiting beliefs

Believing that you can get healthy, wealthy, and wise puts you ahead of the majority of the population

When everyone tells you that you can't do something, that should be fuel to be the first of your generation to do it

Go get that shit
13. Direct experience is king

Reading/learning is cool and helpful

But you never *really* know something unless you've experienced it directly

Until you have that experience, keep an open mind
14. On competition:

If you are entering something that seems competitive (i.e. growing a twitter account, starting an agency, etc.)

That is a GOOD thing, it means there is money there

Most people are lazy

If you can just not be lazy + be consistent + iterate

You win
15. Go on a walk

Seriously

If you feel stuck during work, have been sitting around too much, can't think of good ideas

Go on a walk

Make it a habit
16. On procrastination

Force yourself to tackle problems when they arise

Putting them off only gives temporary satisfaction with long term consequences

Just take action, bro.
17. Control your energy - control your life

This is 100% true, and the backbone of @powershiftco (my brand + new account)

Avoid info/food/tasks that drain your energy

Add more of the opposite

This is how you get healthy, wealthy, + wise

Everything is energy
18. The Power of Focus

Before focus, you need clarity

Narrow down your vision into goals and tasks

Execute on those tasks knowing that you are doing the right thing

2-4 hours of this a day and you will be a completely different person in a few months
19. You can sell your knowledge

I personally think audience building is the path of the future

You talk about what you want in a way that attracts people and sell helpful things to them

Can't ask for more than that really

Start now
20. Thank you

Clearly, I wouldn't be here without you all

I'm grateful to be able to help/entertain/motivate (whatever you are following me for)

We are all going to be absolute killers

Free 6 figure+ online business idea for an untapped market

// THREAD //
I will watch strategy game gameplays on YouTube once in a while

Was watching one yesterday, checked out his website, and cracked an idea

I don't want to do this, but somebody else could easily make this work - especially since many gaming YouTubers have money to pay you
Here is the idea:

You help gaming YouTubers create a website + blog with weekly* posts about game updates

I watch TFT, they have weekly patches that almost change the game entirely

The YouTuber I was watching creates a patch update every week and posts it to his site

Without Hating It

// THREAD //
The concept we are going to talk about is a spiritual one

If you aren't into 'woo woo' stuff, I still encourage you to stick around

The 3 Modalities of Awakened Doing

I got this from the book A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle
The Basics:

The 3 modalities

- Enjoyment
- Enthusiasm

One should be active with ANYTHING you are doing

Systems VS Goals

The path to actually achieving success

// THREAD //
We all know what a goal is...

For those that forgot

It is a defined ambition, aspiration, or something you want to achieve

But... having a goal isn't enough
A new years resolution is a goal

But 99.9999% of people don't follow through with the goal they set

Why?

Because your current, habits & actions aren't going to change JUST by defining a large scale (out of reach) goal

3 Twitter Tips For Those Trying to Grow

// Mini Thread //
Tip 1

People want to follow leaders

Therefore, you need to *display* expertise and authority

This is done by writing with confidence

How do you do this?
Tell people what TO DO and what NOT TO DO

Don’t just give them an idea to think about

Tell them what to do and (optionally) back it up with logic

This displays that you are confident in what you are saying and makes the reader confident in believing it

Your 20s are meant to build, not decay

If you want to start building a better life for yourself

This is a thread for you
Most of this will be basic advice

The thing is, you don't need something revolutionary to turn your life around

You need something that has worked for centuries

Knowledge - Action - Efficiency
There are 3 pillars that you need to take care of

These pillars are just that, pillars

They are what stabilize and uphold your overall well being

1. Money
2. Fitness
3. Thoughts & emotions

If one pillar falls, the others follow

How To Make an Extra $1000/month in 2020

In a real and sustainable way

// THREAD //
This was inspired by a blog post I saw that was titled the same as this thread

Charging scooters and taking surveys is not sustainable, or a quality source of income for that matter

There are 3 ways to start generating an extra income that I understand fairly well myself

We will stick to these

These are all low-risk, they require $0 to get started and can turn into $1k/month within a few months
