As people pass by these comments, busy with their lives/unaffected, it is worth remembering this was used as a baseless reason to keep open a criminal investigation into a decorated three-star General, Mike Flynn, after FBI agents already determined there was no crime.

Not only was there no legal basis for this investigation, it was used to paralyze an elected government, the criminal justice system wielded as a political weapon against an innocent man & that injustice is still ongoing in full view today. There has been no accountability
& now those guilty of doing this, may get away with it. The guilty & their allies have waged a successful information warfare campaign to deceive people into thinking this is a partisan issue but the only partisan thing about it were the lies used to carry it out & cover it up.
People will try to pass this off as partisan but nothing could be further from the truth. I am not & have never been politically defined. I just know what journalism is supposed to be, what we are when we do our jobs the way we should & what it means when we fail.
I’ve heard from many journalists I believe in/respect -we don’t agree with each other on everything & don’t expect that we should. But we do agree that when we look at our profession today, we don’t recognize what we have become. Fortunately for all of us, there’s only one truth.
Regardless of how we see it, we cannot change it. It’s the only thing that stands up to questioning, that is truly non-partisan & it’s the one thing I’ve focused on from my first day as a newspaper reporter in 1988, through more than a decade at 60 Minutes & still today.
