President @MBuhari has approved all the recommendations of the Report of the Special Visitation Panel to the University of Lagos. Among the recommendations are the reinstatement of Professor Oluwatoyin T. Ogundipe as the Vice Chancellor, as his removal did not follow due process.
The Panel also recommended that all allegations made against the Vice Chancellor and the management of the University before & after Constitution of the Special Visitation Panel should be referred to regular Visitation Panel for thorough investigation & necessary recommendations.
Accordingly:

—Professor Oluwatoyin Ogundipe is hereby reinstated as the Vice Chancellor of the University of Lagos.

—The Governing Council of the University of Lagos is hereby dissolved.
Mr. President hopes these steps will bring peace, stability, focus and direction to the University of Lagos.

More than 100,000 beneficiaries of the N-Power Programme invested their stipends in setting up businesses, and are now business owners.

Minister of Justice and HAGF @MalamiSan today inaugurated the Inter-Ministerial Committee on the Disposal of Federal Government of Nigeria’’s Forfeited Assets, in line with the Government’s Asset Tracing, Recovery and Management Regulations, 2019.
The Asset Tracing, Recovery and Management Regulations, 2019 provide legal & administrative frameworks for investigation, tracing, seizure & disposal of stolen or illegally acquired assets & proceeds of crime—& are an interim measure pending passage of the Proceeds of Crime Bill.
President @MBuhari approved the composition of the Inter-Ministerial Committee on the Disposal of Federal Government of Nigeria Forfeited Assets on 27th October, 2020. The Committee has a time frame of six (6) months for the disposal of all Federal Government Forfeited Assets.

NOTICE ON RECENT ENGAGEMENT BETWEEN FGN AND ORGANIZED LABOUR:

The Federal Governmment and Organised Labour (NLC, TUC and others) held consultation meetings on September 15, 24 and 27, 2020.

Following the extensive deliberations, the following resolutions have been reached:
A Technical Committee on Electricity Tariff policy has been established. It is chaired by the HMS Labour and Employment @fkeyamo, and comprises FG MDAs, NLC and TUC, and will work over the next two weeks, starting today.

Its mandate shall include:
a. Examine justification for the electricity tariff review

b. Review the deployment of meters and advice FG on issues hindering implementation

During this two-week period, DISCOs will suspend implementation of the electricity tariff adjustments.

We now have provisions under the new CAMA Act that allows for mandatory disclosure of persons with significant control (of companies)"

"Under the new CAMA law:
- As an individual, you don’t need a second person to register your company...
It will have the same legal capacity like any other company that has 1000 shareholders & will have a separate legal personality from you. It can sue & be sued in its own name & it can exist in perpetuity

- one individual cannot combine the offices of Chairman & Chief Executive.
