No shade to ppl who are countering authoritarianism, but my read isn't that he won't leave. Yes, he'll drag his feet & GSA may balk, and this will mean work that could start January 20 could start in Feb or March (& with COVID, that will mean more death, yes. Outrageous.)
But my read on why he's dragging his feet is simple and crude: As long as he can con ppl into giving money to his 2020 fundraising, he'll keep bilking them. He doesn't care if anyone dies, he has no shame, and he'll bilk bilk bilk bilk bilk until January 20.
Then, on January 21, he'll start fundraising for 2024. But until then, he'll bilk as hard & ruthlessly as he can. Every midnight, he'll send Pence out trawling into our inboxes like a trick on Grindr searching for T until he's squeezed every last penny he can out of his peeps.
