seeing ppl asking for the difference: a leftist is opposed to capitalism, wants to fight the sources of racism, sexism, war etc whereas liberals are generally pro capitalism & only superficially engage in activism without changing the system - to keep the current power structure
people are often "forced" to join the military by life circumstances (no access to healthcare,education, etc). that's also a reason the us wants to keep life miserable for ppl. i think we can all safely assume the person on the right wanting to re-enlist is not an example of that
