@Hadithoftheday Ismail A.S.
When Hajar eventually ran out of food & water & could no longer breastfeed Ismail, She ran back & forth seven times between Safa & Marwa hoping to find water. Allah then sent Jibrael o their aid and a spring of water appeared from the ground at the feet of Ismail A.S
@Hadithoftheday The well was named Zamzam and the journey back and forth Safa and Marwa became a ritual during Hajj and Umrah.
Hajar A.S ran for water for her small child thousands year ago, Allah loved this act so much that he made billions since then to run same way
@Hadithoftheday In those days there was none in Mecca, neither there was any water. Ibraheem A.S left Hajar and Ismail A.S there, and left with them a leather bag containing some dates, and a water-skin containing some water. Hagar continued suckling Ismail AS and drinking from that water. +
@Hadithoftheday When all the water in the water skin got used up, Hajar A.S as well her son became thirsty. She started looking at him tossing in agony. She left him, for she could not look at him anymore. She found that the Safa was the nearest mountain for her to climb up and look for help. +

@Hadithoftheday Hajar stood on it and looked around it. But she could see no one. She descended form Safa, and when she reached the bottom of the valley, she tucked up her robe and ran in the valley like a person in distress and trouble. +.
@Hadithoftheday She ran till she crossed the valley and reached another mountain called Marwah where she stood on it and started looking around in the hope that she might find someone. But she could not find anyone.
@Hadithoftheday Then she climbed on Safa and looked and looked, but could not see anyone until she had completed 7 rounds. She repeated this act 7 times.
When she reached Marwah, she heard a voice and became quiet. +
@Hadithoftheday Then she listened and heard it again, and said “You who have made me hear your voice – do you have any help to offer me?”
Then she saw Jibrael A.S at the site of Zamzam. And he dug with his heel (or wing) until the water gushed forth. +
@Hadithoftheday And she began to make a trough around it, using her hands, and began scooping up the water into her waterskin. Each time after she cooped up the water with her hand, the water would gush out.
@Hadithoftheday Ibn Abbas R.A narrated Prophet Muhammad ﷺ as saying, “May Allah have mercy upon Umm Ismail. If she had left it without trying to control I, or if she had not scooped up the water of Zamzam, Zamzam would have been a spring flowing above the ground.”
@Hadithoftheday Then Hajar drank and suckled her son. Then Jibrael A.S said to her, “Do not be afraid of perishing, indeed this is the site of the House of Allah, which will be built by this boy and his father, in deed Allah does not let his people perish.”

@Hadithoftheday When Musa A.S was in Madyan for many years, Musa A.S missed his family in Egypt.
Once his contract with his father in law was fulfilled, he set back with his wife and family back towards his homeland.
To reach Egypt, they had to cross the Sinai desert. +
@Hadithoftheday On one particularly cold & dark night, they seemed to have lost their way. As Musa A.S walked in the darkness, he saw a light in the distance, on the side of Mount Tur.
He directed his family to stay there so that he may bring something that will keep them warm.
@Hadithoftheday 13 years in Makkah and 10 years in Madinah.
The chapters which were revealed in Makkah are called as Makkan Chapters and the chapters which were revealed in Madina after Hijrah are called Madinan Chapters.
There are total of 86 Makkan and 28 Madinan Chapters in Qur'an.
@Hadithoftheday The Makkan Phase:
The Makkan phase of the revelation lasted about 13 years, from the first revelation up to the Hijrah.
The Madinan Phase:
The Madinan phase lasted about 10 years, from the Hijrah to the death of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
@Hadithoftheday The Makkan Chapters are those which were revealed in Makkah. This refers to everything revealed before the Migration to Madinah, even if the verse was revealed while the Prophet (ﷺ) was outside of the city of Makkah.
@Hadithoftheday Khadija R.A and Mariya Al Qibtiya R.A.
Muhammad ﷺ was blessed with six children through khadija R.A & one through Mariya Qibtiya R.A
They are:
1.Zainab
2.Umm Kulthum
3.Ruqayya
4.Fatima
5.Qasim
6.Abdullah
These six were through Khadija R.A 7. Ibrahim- was through Mariya Qibtiya
@Hadithoftheday Prophet Muhammad ﷺ had seven children, three boys and four girls.The boys were:
1. Qasim
2. Abdullah
3. Ibraheem
And the girls were:
1. Zaynab
2. Ruqayyah
3. Umm Kulthum
4. Faatimah
All of his children died during his lifetime, apart from Fatimah R.A who died after him
@Hadithoftheday The sons and daughters of the Prophet ﷺ were all born to him from his wife Umm al-Mu’mineen Khadeeja R.A, apart from Ibrahim, who was born from the Maariyah Qibtiya R.A.
Mariya R.A was given to him as a gift by al-Muqawqis, the king of Alexandria and the leader of the Copts.
@Hadithoftheday Hajj
Allah has made hajj compulsory only for those who are financially & physically able to perform hajj
Allah says in Qur'an:
“And Hajj (pilgrimage to Makkah) to the House is a duty that mankind owes to Allah, those who can afford the expenses. (Qur'an:3:97)
@Hadithoftheday Being physically able is when one is sound in body and can bear the hardship of travelling to the sacred House of Allah.
Being financially able means that one has enough funds to get to the sacred House of Allah and back again.
@Hadithoftheday Hajj is a spiritual journey like no other.
Hajj is one of five pillars of Islam.
Hajj is actually the Sunnah of Ibrahim A.S
Every able Muslim who has the finances available (after taking care of all family obligations), is required to embark on this journey once in their life.
A thread:
Prophet Muhammad ﷺ & his foster mother, Halima Saadia:
When the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was still an infant, a group of ladies visited Makkah to take the new born babies to the open desert environment as per custom of the town.
Muhammad ﷺ was entrusted to Halima Sadia
Halima Saadia, from Banu Saad tribe, was that fortunate lady who took Muhammad ﷺ, then just an-eight-day-old, for foster care.
The other ladies of the group could get babies of rich families, but Halima opted for this orphan as his father, Abdullah, had died before his birth
Her companions were apparently happy with their findings but nobody knew that Halima was carrying a baby that was to become arguably the greatest personality in human history. He was gifted with blessings from Almighty Allah. And it occurred instantly.
@Hadithoftheday Rivers
Allah says in Qur'an:
And give good tidings to those who believe & do righteous deeds that they will have gardens [in Paradise] beneath which rivers flow. (Quran- 2:25)
The phrase “gardens beneath which rivers flow” is a very common scene depicted about the eternal Heaven
@Hadithoftheday Allah says in Qur'an:
“Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds – their Lord will guide them because of their faith. Beneath them rivers will flow in the Gardens of Pleasure.(10:9)
This sentence is mentioned repeatedly in Quran: تَجْرِى مِنْ تَحْتِهِمُ الْأَنْهٰرُ
