As Democrats, we have to fight multiple battles on different sides of the aisle and hold off the media as well. We have to be better at controlling the narrative which is much harder with such a big tent. As Democrats we welcome varying points of view and never 100% agree on shit
That’s how it always is, Democrats have to work harder. For BP this is normal. We always have to fight from behind which is why we’re the base of the Party. We’re used to struggle while some others aren’t which is why their support is flimsy at times (neoprogressives,55% WW etc).
Still, we have to change the perception. We get played by the media by latching on to their disarray tropes. They love talking about how Dems don’t do this or that perfectly. Left media like TYT gets the base of its money and support by pushing that narrative. It’s a cash cow.
Forgot about this, but it applies to how narratives are pushed by the media...
TYT and the alt-left media; Sam Seder, Ring of Fire, Thom Hartmann, Krystal Ball, and the Bernie Sanders campaign generated millions of dollars by stoking hatred for Democrats. A right wing bot operation signal boosted them into a very comfortable lifestyle.
Do you think it’s just a coincidence that all of the alt-left media organizations had TV shows on Russia Today between 2013-2018? They were paid to be operatives for the right wing and they still play the role to this very day. That’s what they’re used to; grifting off Dem hate.
As an aside, I will add that we did have a victory which I think was kind of major. I know some disagree with me but again, we have a big tent. I think it was a major victory to have the most devious and capable minds on the right (The Lincoln Project) working for us this time.😏
We got Chris Matthews and his bullshit takes off the air and Chuck Todd is holding on by the hairs of his goatee. Andrea Mitchell would probably be out the door if not for Allen Greenspan and Katy Tur was relatively quiet for this election. The media has yet to make amends though
To clarify, I don’t even think they’re the most devious, just the most intelligent. The more devious ones are the Steve Bannon’s, Steven Miller’s and Karl Rove types. Find a way to take them off the opposition table as well and I’ll really be happy. Til then, I’ll take what I get
Our biggest success was stopping Bernie. He woulda had us lose 50 states! Every campaign should realize by now that Joe Biden was the ONLY candidate who could’ve won in this way (and I was a Kamala supporter before she officially announced) because America, is part shithole.
Every time the right gets repudiated, the media and the alt-left start in with the narrative of; why didn’t Dems do better? Or what about these problems on the left? Or why aren’t Dems compromising yet? Or really, why aren’t Democrats perfect in every way? FOH and 🖕🏾MM
Even though SC turned out to be an entrenched stronghold of Republican corruption headed by MoscowMitch, it also decided this election. South Carolina was the state where the plan to defeat Trump was revealed during the primaries. SC showed where we could go with the right plan.
The South Carolina primaries showed us where the real backbone of the Democrats lies. Most other constituents are sometimey with Dems. Only Black people and Native Americans vote as a bloc w such high percentages. Having Kamala Harris on ticket was the ONLY way to get those #
How come ONLY a ticket of Biden and Harris could beat Trump? First of all, in many respects intellectually, as a country, we live in a shithole. And Trump alone was suited to excel in this environment specifically because of his Hollywood fame. His TV image and name recognition
branded him with a marketable well-known persona. Second, it wouldn’t have worked without his total lack of integrity and willingness to lie in 95% of his sentences. Without the lies there’s no way to cover up the day to day gross incompetence. Watch out for the next racist celeb
Lastly, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, Trump as an unfit dimwit, racist troll, couldn’t have done any of the foul, deplorable shit he did,

without a willing majority of Senators in that bullshit minority-ruled, Constitutional mistake called the Senate. Explain how that shit makes sense.
Each state, no matter how sparsely populated, gets two Senators. Theoretically, all you have to do is get the smallest 26 states to vote for two Senators and that majority would run American democracy by passing or not passing laws and allowing criminals to roam free in the WH.
The Senate is the real seat of corruption. That’s not democracy. That’s minority rule, and not in a good way.

But TYT and the media never talk about that. They would rather blame Democrats for what Republicans do. After all, Republicans give them money to do it.

At no point in modern history has the media embraced examination of its own mistakes related to its coverage of politics. Where’s the @CNN town hall on that topic? Where’s the panel discussion about your extensive failures during the election @MSNBC
Think about how quick certain media outlets jumped to criticize Democrats performance in an election where Biden received the most votes ever and flipped 5 states from 2016. Have they examined ANYTHING that they’ve said or done over the last 5 years? Have they been flawless?
Nancy Pelosi and her brilliant tactics staved off the worst aspects of the Republican coup of the last 5 years. Media outlets welcomed Russian assets as part of their punditry. Who’s Lewandowski work for now? Kayleigh was @CNN nightly. Dave Rubin and Jimmy Dore @TYT folks.

Can we put tests in place to prevent despots and unfit criminals from being allowed to run for POTUS?

It should be a law that taxes are shown. A LAW! That could be done in the states can’t it?

The person must pass the same mental/emotional fitness exams military and police do.
The person must be able to pass a security clearance.

The person must be able to answer pertinent, basic questions related to the Constitution and Federal law.

The POTUS can’t profit from any personal business while in office or be prosecuted afterwards.

Is that too much?
Trump occupying the WH for four years as an unfit, criminal, despot has revealed that the true weakness in our government structure is the Senate.

Through control of the Senate, Republicans have allowed a dimwit, manbaby like Trump lead the country backwards while they looted.

The media needs to ask Republicans why they legislate against the will of the majority of Americans. Their districts added together don’t represent anywhere near a majority of Americans. When are Republicans going to fix what they broke? Why aren’t they held responsible?
Republicans and the media can always rely on neoprogressives to help them promote certain bullshit ideas. Right now, they pushing the narrative that Dems lost seats in the House. So fcuking what? We still have the majority. That’s what matters! That means Dems have the mandate.
The mandate comes from a majority in the House which represents the MAJORITY of the American voters. Period. The Senate is a gerrymandered body governed by minority rule. Democrats have a mandate with the most votes for POTUS ever and the majority of voters for the House. #Truth

It’s not just that Democrats are held to higher standards, it’s that Republicans are held to no standards at all.

Republicans can lie, cheat and collude with foreign enemies to gain power. They can mismanage government, ruin the economy, cause death and division in the country.
And the media will always say they have a chance of winning, because their voters have no bar for qualifications.

Meanwhile Democrats are criticized by the media for not being.... perfect.

So the narrative becomes; will the Democrats perfectly nail this next test again?
On the other hand, the media allows Republicans to take credit for the economy they inherited from Democrats but then ruined, again.

We have our petty problems about this, or that, or whatever, but,

the main problem with America is tied to ignorance, which is, not knowing shit...

But not knowing shit and then not giving a fcuk is America’s problem. That whole defiant fcuk everybody, I don’t care is America
That willful desire to do the wrong shit is encouraged/taught in this society for some reason.

It’s glorified and patted on the back when somebody does some dummy shit and gets a click.

We gotta give that up; that desire to say fcuk everybody and do the wrong shit anyway.
We all do it to varying degrees...
whether it’s how we talk to each other on Twitter, or how some act in public about wearing a mask 😷

That part of the defiance we all feel is “freedom”. But some use that freedom to be defiant for ignorant reasons,

like not wearing a mask 😷

The problem with “defund the police” is the dumbass, reductionist phrase itself. Defund the police starts a waste of time argument. You can’t just defund police. What takes it place? That’s a non-starter position. What they really mean is Lower Funding of Police for military equ.
They really should be saying “Demilitarize Police” and people wouldn’t disagree with the idea. There must be law enforcement: to all the jackasses who think there shouldn’t be. We just want LE that follows the law and don’t behave like criminals. Reduce Police Budgets ain’t lit😒
The “Accelerationists” as they like to call themselves, wanted Trump to ‘accelerate the demise of the system’. They push GND fairytales and defund the police memes cause they “don’t believe in pragmatism” compromise or incremental change. That’s cute on the surface...
