The US reported +648 new coronavirus deaths today, bringing the total to 251,901. The 7-day moving average rose to 1,156 per day.
The US had +139,084 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 today, bringing the total to over 11.3 million. The 7-day moving average rose to over 152,000 per day.
The number of active cases in the US is now over 4.1 million.
It is worth noting that multiple states, including Michigan, Kansas, Connecticut, and Rhode Island, have not yet reported today.

Illinois and Florida reported over 10,000 new cases each today.
Florida had its highest number of new cases today since July 25th.
So no, the virus did not "magically go away" after the election, as President Trump and some of his supporters asserted.

Because it is real.

Haiti. The road frequently turns to rubble and people just make up their own rules and rights of way.
But if there's one single place in the world that was most tense, it was the dirt road to the top of the Andes, between Chile and Argentina. You can check out the full thread here. I still have nightmares.

1. Finally, after about a 24 hour wait, the weather has cleared up just a little at Tetouan, Morocco, enough for me to make my flight across the Straits to Gibraltar. Image
2. I always have to remind people, but yes, this is Microsoft Flight Simulator on my PC, not real life. But the weather is set to real life, real-time weather, so it's going to correspond to actual reports you can find online. Image
