NEW: Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti says "L.A. is in a very dangerous situation, the alarm bells are ringing" re: #COVID19. Says this is "game day", gives a Dodgers reference saying we're at the bottom of the 5th/6th inning. Urges that we need to turn the surge around. @FOXLA
NEW: Mayor Garcetti says city of LA is going to expand/ramp up enforcement efforts at businesses that aren't following #COVID19 rules and will revoke permits for businesses that are violating health orders. Also says anybody traveling must quarantine for a full14 days. @FOXLA
Mayor Garcetti says that you should assume that every single person you see outside your household is infectious. He said that LA has never been in a more dangerous position during this pandemic than where we are right now. He did not offer specifics, other than surge of cases.
Mayor Garcetti says the city will begin offering #COVID19 PCR tests at LAX with results available in 24 hours for travelers coming into SoCal. @FOXLA

I’m on Aquamarine Ct. in Chino Hills at the #BlueRidgeFire where fire crews are set up for structure defense as a line of flames creeps towards homes. Burning in light fuels. Homes above as well. It’s a ghost town here. Looks like most people followed evac orders. @FOXLA
There are multiple engines here from the city of San Francisco @SFFDPIO helping provide structure defense. They routinely come down from up north to help us. I’ve seen them at local fires before. Mutual aid is an awesome thing. #BlueRidgeFire@FOXLA
It’s not going to be a threat. Firefighters have it sandwiched from above and below. No wind here. They’re letting it burn out all the fuel. #BlueRidgeFire@FOXLA
NEW: Multiple sources tell me a man somehow got inside the LAPD Harbor station and shot an officer. I’m hearing the officer is okay, but that’s *unconfirmed*. That’s all I have at the moment. I have nothing on a suspect. Working sources for more details.
A caravan of protesters are on the move in West Hollywood tonight. Some on foot, others in fleets of vehicles escorting them. Chanting “All cops are bastards” @FOXLA
Protesters arrived at the LASD West Hollywood station where LASD declared an unlawful assembly. The crowd is now moving away from the area and heading towards Beverly Hills.
NEW: LASD is making multiple arrests and has stopped the two pickup trucks that were leading the caravan/protest. The black truck appears to be the same one involved in Hollywood last night that chased down the white car after it weaved through the crowd. @FOXLA
BREAKING: Two LASD Transit Security Bureau deputies have been shot at the Compton PAX station. I’m told by LASD that both were shot in the head by a male who got off a bus, then fled. Both hospitalized, Sheriff Villanueva at hospital now. @FOXLA
***Correction it’s Transit Services Bureau not Transit Security Bureau, my apologies ***
UPDATE: LASD sources tell me both deputies were in their vehicle when they were both shot in the head and that this was a “straight ambush”. LASD working on suspect info. @FOXLA
BREAKING: We just arrived in South LA and there’s already action. LASD says crowd of protesters dressed in black was given order to disperse while they were in the street, they refused, and crowd control munitions were used to push them down Normandie. @FOXLA
NEW: LASD has arrested numerous members of the crowd of South LA protesters they describe as more of an aggressive anarchist element than previous nights, and has confiscated their gear, including shields and “press” helmets. Now searching them for weapons. @FOXLA
NEW: LA County Sheriff Alex Villanueva is at the South LA LASD station, where a 3rd night of protests are expected at 630pm. He said they made 13 arrests last night, many of which he says were out of state agitators looking to incite a riot after pipes & bottles thrown. @FOXLA
He says LASD will not allow any protesters near their station and that any agitators looking to start violence will see a swift response from deputies. Streets all blocked off in the area. Multiple specialized Sheriff’s Response Teams (SRT) mobilizing here. @FOXLA
Lots of LASD resources and SRT teams staging here to defend the station. So far, very minimal amount of protesters on scene. We will see what happens after dark. @FOXLA
