Been through a hellish few months. MDC Alliance SG Charlton Hwende has not helped the situation. He told MDC Standing Committee last week, while defending Tendai Masotsha, that I'm pursuing a "G40 agenda" against his party (1/2)

Confronted Hwende about this. Doesn't deny, but says it was "privileged information". He's more concerned about how I know. I should say I never spoke convictingly about Masotsha. I wasn't there. Didn't know her until late at night July 30, when I heard she was there 2/

It remains the case that I'm not invested in Masotsha. The people who abducted and tortured my nephew Tawanda Muchehiwa were working for Mr Mnangagwa. If Masotsha was one of them, she too should be held to account, together with their boss 3/

The MDC inquiry conducted did not go so far as interviewing Tawanda, the 2 nephews who were with him nor the other witnesses in the affair only the participants would have led them to. I was called by Cde Timba to inform me of their findings. But I'm useless in the affair 4/

What I find particularly offensive is that Cde Hwende would go to the MDC Standing Committee and lie about me, and hope to get away with it. What is G40? How do I feature in this creature, as what or who? I have no doubt he wasn't acting alone in this ridiculous posture 5/

My nephew abducted and tortured. There are few questions that I have, and which their inquiry hasn't answered:
# Who was bigger prize for junta in that car, Masotsha or 22-year-old MSU student? They took the latter
# Masotsha released from police station, my 2 nephews kept 6/

# During interviews at Bulawayo Central, Masotsha tells nephews that they must tell senior CID officers interviewing them that they didn't see Tawanda being taken. If there were officers of goodwill there, they lost time on abductors

# Masotsha says abducted outside Central and tortured. Then dumped near her house. She did not report this to police, certainly not that morning it happened
# Doctor's report? She said doctor who normally sees her not available due to Covid-19, prescriptionover phone

# When Tawanda is snatched by Ferrets, Masotsha was only other person in car. In legal terms, when Tawanda is gone she is the person in charge of BMW. It's common cause she brought the flyers in question into the car. But she's not charged with a crime 9/

# My nephew Advent who was in hardware shop at the time is charged with incitement of violence over flyers he had never set his eyes on, flyers which Masotsha brought into car and was in charge of at time Ferrets arrive. Masotsha is home by then 10/

# Prosecutors knew they had a problem. Pursuing silly matter against Advent who owns no political bone would unravel entire scheme, from who "arrested" him to who booked him at Central. Once that identified, lawyer would have pressed hard for his collaborators, Ferrets 11/

# Police tabled an affidavit before the court saying charges must be dropped because they didn't know where Advent affidavit was. Think about that for a minute. Same Advent who wanted to overthrow Mnangagwa! 12/

I got frustrated writing this. My nephew is tortured near death, and Mr Hwende thinks I'm out to get his party. Was Masotsha working for the MDC Alliance chief? I don't recall your party claiming parentage of July 31. Why don't you let her carry her own cross? 13/

I pray the MDC has more sophisticated ways of addressing issues of this nature. It cannot be sufficient to dismiss victims as G40, while pursuing a shoddy investigation. I still think your leader Nelson Chamisa is the hope for this country, but he needs superior support 14/14
