FRUSTRATING.

Biden needs transition clearance NOW. But House Dems are just sitting around waiting to hear back from @GSAEmily after a letter they sent a few days ago.

.@ThePlumLineGS says Oversight Chair @GerryConnolly is NOT aggressively seeking Murphy's testimony.

"Serious thought has to be given to next steps," Connelly muses.

He says he doesn't want to make a move until he knows how Biden's team plans to game this out. Why?

/2
Consider this: We're asking Emily Murphy to do something for which she will be immediately fired and probably receive death threats.

Why aren't we putting the same pressure on House Democrats? They can subpoena her tomorrow for an emergency testimony.

/3
Why would she believe this is REALLY an emergency if Dems don't treat it that way? They don't even have PLANS to subpoena her.

They're thinking that *maybe*, just MAYBE they should think about HAVING plans. That's it.

"Serious thought has to be given to next steps."

Call @GerryConnolly who chairs this subcommittee: (202) 225-1492.

Tell him that he doesn't need to coordinate with Biden before subpoenaing Emily Murphy.

I believe that every United States senator who swore an oath to uphold the Constitution, but now defiles that oath by not recognizing the winner of a free and fair presidential election, should be stripped of their U.S. citizenship and exiled.
Today I took a 50-mile trip through rural Michigan to see my dad. I was appalled at the number of Trump campaign signs, banners and flags still up.

These people honestly think the election is ongoing. That Trump has a real chance with his stupid lawsuits.
And with the demands for Fox News hosts and Republican politicians to not ever say "President-elect Biden" - I don't think this ends here.

I think there is a significant percentage of the population - maybe 30% or more - who will never recognize President Biden.

The most ill-conceived memo in U.S. government history has got to be that ridiculous OLC memo that places a president above the law.

It put Trump out of justice's reach and every crony who did his bidding. It allowed the corruption of huge sectors of the Executive branch.
Without that memo, Trump would have been indicted for Obstruction of Justice before Barr ever happened on the scene.
Without that memo, Trump probably couldn't have run for reelection. He wouldn't have gotten away with threatening to fire McGahn unless he falsified documents; he wouldn't have gotten away with extorting Ukraine.

As Trump & Co claim victory in PA, their lead keeps shrinking.

They lead by 379,692 votes.
There are 929,598 ballots left to count.
It all depends on what percentage of the absentee ballots are Biden's.

If Biden gets at least 71% of the absentee ballots, he wins.
Just updated my calculations based on new input from PA. If Biden gets 69% of the absentee vote, he wins.

In the spirit of doing everything we can to get out the vote this election, I thought I'd share my completely honest experience with phone banking in the hopes that I might persuade some of you to go do it yourselves.
So. I've been phone banking in Michigan for the Democrats for about a month now. I sign up for two nights per week for about an hour each.
I'm not going to sugarcoat it and tell you it's super fun and exhilarating because it's absolutely not that. It's HARD and I usually dread it because I'm an introvert. And honestly, a lot of people are not happy about being called.

But.

It's worth it.
