*SPIRIT OF LIFE*
*ROMANS 8:1-5*
There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
But the Law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh;
so that the righteousness of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. For they who are according to the flesh mind the things of flesh, but they who are according to the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
*KEY VERSE*
“For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death” v.2
*MESSAGE*
We should clearly distinguish between the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus and the law of sin and death.
God is truly not interested in the death of a sinner but the life of a sinner is not profitable to Him because it will eventually end up in death if there is no change. The goal is to come to repentance.
What necessitated the review to the law of sin and death is that it became a tool to destroy rather than a rod of correction.
When Jesus asked that no one should stone the adulterous woman, He wasn’t in support of adultery. There was no profit to God in seeing the woman die,
so an opportunity to change from her sinful ways is the most desired option. Christ corrected the woman instead of condemning her and this gives a clear analysis of how He has come to fulfill the law.
Do not continue in filthy acts and use this portion of the scripture as an excuse. Your immunity against condemnation is only effective when you walk in the spirit of life.
To be carnally minded is enmity against God and the result is death. A life that rejects godly corrections cannot be said to be keeping the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus.
*Prayer Point:* Holy Father, expunge every carnal thoughts from my heart and let me be properly guided in the law of the Spirit in Jesus name. Amen.
*Food For Thought:* “For if you live according to the flesh, you shall die.
But if you through the Spirit mortify the deeds of the body, you shall live.” Romans 8:13.

SIGNIFICANCE OF A NAME
LUKE 11:1-4
And it happened as He was praying in a certain place, when He ceased, one of His disciples said to Him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught His disciples. And He said to them,
When you pray, say: Our Father, who is in Heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come, Your will be done, as in Heaven, so also on the earth. Give us day by day our daily bread, and forgive us our sins, for we ourselves also forgive everyone who is indebted to us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

UNSHAKEABLE ROCK
I SAMUEL 2:1-5
And Hannah prayed and said, My heart rejoices in Jehovah, my horn is exalted in Jehovah. My mouth is enlarged over my enemies because I rejoice in Your salvation.
There is none holy as Jehovah, for there is none beside You. Neither is there any rock like our God. Talk no more so very proudly. Remove arrogance out of your mouth, for Jehovah is a God of knowledge, and by Him actions are weighed.
The bows of the mighty are broken, and they that stumbled are girded with strength. They that were full have hired themselves out for bread, and they that were hungry ceased; yea, while the barren has borne seven, and she who had many sons has languished.

DO NOT TEMPT HIM
ISAIAH 7:10-15
And Jehovah spoke again to Ahaz, saying, Ask a sign of Jehovah your God; ask it either in the depth, or in the height above. But Ahaz said, I will not ask, nor will I tempt Jehovah. And He said,
Hear now, O house of David; is it a small thing for you to weary men, but will you weary my God also? So, the Lord Himself shall give you a sign. Behold, the virgin will conceive and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call His name Immanuel.
Butter and honey he shall eat until he knows to refuse the evil and choose the good.

DISCOVERY OF PURPOSE 1

MATTHEW 16:15-16

He said to them, But who do you say I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.
KEY VERSE

“And Simon Peter answered and said, You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Matthew 16:16

MESSAGE

Since creation, we discover that behind every act of God is His Purpose. No act of God came by chance. He is purpose moved.
The first component of the will of God is divine purpose.

When you discover your purpose, it transforms you. When you discover the purpose of a person you are living with, it will transform your relationship with that person.

THE LAW OF CHRIST

GALATIANS 6:1-5
Brothers, if a man is overtaken in a fault, you the spiritual ones restore such a one in the spirit of meekness, considering yourself, lest you also be tempted. Bear one another's burdens, and so you will fulfill the Law of Christ. For if anyone thinks himself to be something,
being nothing, he deceives himself. But let each one prove his own work, and then he alone will have a boast in himself, and not in another. For each one will bear his own load.

KEY VERSE

“Bear one another's burdens, and so you will fulfil the Law of Christ” V.2
