@onetoughnerd used emergency powers to “save money” on Flint water. The emergency manager he appointed switched the source of the water, which caused the damage to the pipes, and the lead poisoning. The cost? Countless kids harmed. And a $641M settlement.

Plus the cost of bottled water for YEARS. Plus the cost of lead mitigation and redoing all the pipes.
Plus the trauma for everyone impacted.
Unplanned for externalities because of short term, financial-cost-only thinking. That’s Michigan GOP.

Former CEO Charged in Schemes to Defraud U.S. Government Related to the Conflict in Afghanistan
