US Senate Hearing on "Early Outpatient Treatment for Covid-19". What @NHS and @MattHancock tell us doesn't exist. But the US Senate has a Hearing on it, convened by @SenRonJohnson. Extraordinary behaviour in places.
Dr McCullough has developed and published a sophisticated treatment strategy for early-stage Covid-19. Remember we're still told by @MattHancock this doesn't exist.
Prof Risch of Yale has published the most comprehensive reviews of treatment of early-stage covid-19. He points out the body of literature on cheap drugs like hydroxychloroquine in hospitalised patients is simply irrelevant to the early stage illness
Perhaps @ashishkjha isn't aware that @raoult_didier already has one defamation action going in France. Is he under oath in a Congressional hearing ?

Prof Risch has reviewed about everything there is on HCQ for early stage covid. His critic doesn't treat covid at all.
Dr McCullough has treated lots of covid patients including himself. He is asthmatic and has a heart condition and was frightened, but out for a run 5 days later.
Remdesevir is officially standard of care in USA but unavailable to early stage outpatients.
@SenRonJohnson isn't amused.

@SenJackyRosen wants to restrict home test kits. Why would she need to do that ? They aren't medicines.

More diversionary tactics from @SenatorCarper disregarding entirely the topic of the hearing. Is this how the US Congress gets famous for the "filibuster" ?
More diversionary tactics from @SenatorHassan again off-topic. This is about pharmaceutical interventions Senator, not the non-pharmaceutical interventions you're obsessed with.

To "adjust for false positives" you need the operational False Positive Rate (oFPR) for the testing programme. But the Govt doesn't know what this is. "The UK oFPR is unknown", says Lord Bethell, only a month ago (thread)

"when it is evidenced that spontaneous recovery is becoming doubtful the intravenous injection of quinine is given at once" (thread)
In Dec 1918 the cases were "too few to permit of scientific certainty". By Feb 1920 "a large number of cases have been injected". Burrows & Burrows (1920) Medical Record v97 n6 p 235 (thread)
