Mario is about comedy, action, and adventure, within a massive, charming, and slightly surreal world
it’d basically be about two plumbers who, after kinda stumbling into heroism and accidentally saving the princess one time, become her appointed bodyguards and travel all around the world with her on official royal business
Plumbers are the only ones who know how to safely navigate the Pipe Maze, which is a huge underground labyrinth that connects to every Warp Pipe in the world
Bowser is not some evil, bloodthirsty dark lord
He’s a loudmouth, a brute, and a bully, but he’s actually a really good dad and just wants to kidnap Peach so he can give Bowser Jr. a mom

Nintendo’s treatment of that Smash Bros. tournament is reminding me of the time they tried to come after me, when I was making my Mario fan comic back in the day
I probably showed up on their radar because I had “mariocomics.com” as my domain
Long story short, they tried to spook me and I literally said “There are no ads on the site and I’m not selling anything. I ain’t doin anything wrong”
They backed off after that
The entire comic was moved to SNAFU, by the way, for everyone who’s asking if they can still read it: snafu-comics.com/swmseries/nsma…
Disney’s making a mobile game called Mirrorverse, starring alternate universe versions of their characters with badass redesigns, and I can’t believe this is real
SULLEY’S WEARING FUCKING POWER ARMOR
Like, NO ONE is talking about this game (probably cause it’s for mobile), and it looks fucking awesome
It’s an action RPG and it looks like it’s Kingdom Hearts and Disney Infinity slammed together
With the Mario & Luigi series basically dead, and the Paper Mario games being what they are now, I think it’s time for a new Mario RPG series
Let Atlus take a crack at it or something
I’ve said this before, but the whole appeal of Mario having RPGs, at least to me, was that they did tons of worldbuilding and told stories that couldn’t really be told in other Mario games
Call me nuts, but I actually really like Mario lore
Goombas, Koopas, and other enemies being actual PEOPLE, with unique appearances and motivations, was just always super cool to me. Giving structure, purpose, and meaning to Mario’s bizarre and surreal world is really fun and intriguing
To celebrate Sonic’s 29th birthday, I’m going to unveil a fun personal project of mine that I’ve been working on during quarantine: a pitch deck detailing my vision for an ideal Sonic cartoon!
Big thread incoming! (1/17)
My goal, with this proposal, was to create a Sonic cartoon that drew bits from all of my favorite past versions of Sonic and synthesized them into one streamlined continuity. Small nods to SatAM and the Archie/Fleetway/IDW comics, but with a SEGASonic focus and vibe. (2/17)
The Characters!
I’ve always liked the concept of the Freedom Fighters, but wanted the team to focus more on the actual game characters this time around (sorry Sally, Bunnie, and Antoine)
