What is the earliest mention of the scientific method, anywhere in the world?
It is the "Yukti" of Charakasamhita. Āyurvēda gifted the scientific method to the world. It was also the most advanced medical system for the most of the human civilization, until a few centuries ago.
It is ridiculous to the extreme to say that Āyurvēda has no scientific rationale. But people don't question this, because they are brainwashed over several centuries of colonialism. Any bullshit written in English becomes scientific in the minds of these braindead people.
Most people don't know, but all the pioneering academic universities in Europe have started off with the medical department around a collection of medicinal plants, which are borrowed mostly from India. These botanical gardens are the centre-piece around any European university.
How did India get to such supreme level of medical knowledge? The scientific method of Āyurvēda, that's why. The same thing is also true of Jyōtisha (astronomy), Indian knowledge was superior because its scientific method was superior. Until as recently as a few centuries ago.
Indians have become lobotomized by the colonial education, which assigns all the sciences to European origin (typically some Greek, but doesn't matter). They don't even ask if India had any authentic scientific method. It did, and it *is* superior to the western method, even now.
The reason why the Indian scientific method is superior to the western method is due to two important aspects:
1) The Indian science of linguistics is superior to the west, by far.
These twin sciences of Tarka (logic) and Vyākarana (grammar/computation) are the foundation for all Indian sciences. This is why the Indian scientific method is superior. On the contrary, the British colonial education credits the scientific method to silly nonsense like Euclid.

This perspective is widespread but wrong. Unfortunately, only computer scientists understand the severity of the issue. It's not an option to avoid using digital tools, because our entire world runs on them. What we should instead ask is why there is no regulation on malpractice?
Imagine there is no law against taking pieces of anatomical organs during surgery and "monetizing" them. Let's say that hospitals are providing free surgery to people, and monetizing their organs. Any honest hospital that charges money will be bankrupt. Macabre scenario right?
We don't have such a horrible situation in medicine because we have regulation to prevent such malpractice. In the world of software, we have no such regulation. People are largely unaware of the immense dangers of data surveillance, loss of personhood, loss of volition etc.
The British Raj systematically destroyed any Indian tradition of knowledge system that posed a threat. Terminology from Āyurvēda was explicitly excluded in the 19th century work of James Ballantyne translating European science into Indian languages.
Apart from the first documented mention of surgical procedures, Āyurvēda also has the first documented “scientific method” through experimental observation. This is known as “Yukti”, and its formulation in Āyurvēda is actually *better* than in the widely practiced medicine today.
I am not sure the fatality rate of Covid-19 is even 1%. It is probably < 0.5%. Many infected people are most probably undetected and not showing any symptoms.
I am very annoyed why these true numbers for fatality rate have not come out yet. It has almost been a year with this.
An important factor influencing fatality seems to be that viral load of infection that people got. People who are likely to get a high dose of viral load (like from working in hospitals) are also reporting higher fatalities. Again, this is also conjecture and there’s no data yet!
Why is all this so unclear in a pandemic that has been screwing the world economy for almost a year!? I have no idea, but I am disappointed in how science is getting done in today’s era. We have so much more possibilities in this era of big data and massive computation.. 😕🙄
What a ridiculous sham for the first education minister of India! A Mullah Moulana religious scholar, who was apparently so hypocritical that he was an alcoholic addict. Instilled by Mr. “Scientific Temper” Nehru on India. Mr.Azad never had even a university degree!
It is absolutely horrendous that such a religious nut case idiot was chosen by Nehru to lead the education ministry, in a country that already had Nobel laureates! Sheesh 🙄! And why give him Bharat Ratna, the highest civilian award!? India became a joke for the Nehru clan.
Maulana’s birthday, the 11th of November, is apparently “National Education Day” in India. Since when did this happen!? Can anybody please tell me? I don’t remember any such Tamasha when I was studying in India.
What a joke! How about celebrating it as the National Loser Day!?
Oh come on! The Indian government should care for the interests of India and not the interests of BJP. It is absolutely correct that the PM made positive overtures to Biden and Harris. Whether they reciprocate or not is their problem. India must work to build strong ties with US.
Kamala Harris is far to the right of the Democrats as far as Israel is concerned. So why is she Anti-India? Why are we Indians getting the dumpster thrown at by the Democrats? Because we have been idiots, that’s why. Not engaging with the new administration will be more idiocy.
One thing is clear: the Democrat party has a serious Anti-India rhetoric and specifically a Anti-Hindu rhetoric. This is a consequence of the liberal media in the USA, which has a horrible Hinduphobia. Why would they change when they have no consequences internally?
The Hinduphobia in US media and academia is not limited to the post BJP era, or even to the period of rich Indian immigrants in the tech sector. It is an ancient American tradition rooted in racism and missionary propaganda, going back to the time when India was a British colony.
These narratives in American universities have been running without any counter for several decades now. Until now, Indian Americans have been blissfully ignorant of the nonsense, trying to focus on making money or whatever. But the nonsense will bear fruit and come to bite them.
This misrepresentation of Hinduism and India has nothing to do with the supposed wealth of Indian Americans. After all, India is still a poor country and most Hindus are dirt poor compared to the other religions. No, the narrative is simply a continuation of age old racist crap.
