NOW: The Michigan State Board of Canvassers is considering whether to certify the results of the November 3rd general election.

Michigan Elections Director @JonathanBrater: Results represent "a labor of love, on behalf of our state, performed by Michigan 1600 election clerks and our staff" in "an effort that is unprecedented both in scope and in difficulties."

.@JonathanBrater: "The Bureau has not identified any irregularities this year, other than the typical occasional human error is always part of the process. Overall we had an extremely well run and secure election."

One board member, Vice Chair Aaron Van Langevelde (R) is asking for public comments before considering the motion to certify. The motion has been seconded.

Public comments are now being heard as part of the discussion on the motion before voting.

Aaaaaand, we're back. @MIGOP Chair Laura Cox is now asking the board to delay certification, citing various conspiracy theories.

Shorter Laura Cox: People in Detroit were mean so you can't certify the results.

Charles Spies, attorney for @JohnJamesMI is now speaking. He says his position is not that the election shouldn't be certified. I think he's suggesting a delay for some unspecified investigation.

NOW: The results have been certified.
