What is Ayurveda
The science which deals with four kind of life span(आयु) - हित आयु, अहित आयु, सुख आयु, दुःख आयु, what is good (पथ्य) and what is injurious (अपथ्य), it's (aayu) span(मान) is known as Ayurveda/ आयुर्वेद

What is आयु
A combination of शरीर(body), इन्द्रिय (senses) सत्व/मन (mind), आत्म (soul/spirit) known as धारी, नित्यग, अनुबंध which means a continuous (नित्यग) interdependent combination(अनुबंध) of body, senses, mind and soul which holds this physical body(धारी- धारण करने वाला)

It's objective
1. स्वस्थस्य स्वास्थ्य रक्षणम To keep a healthy being as it is by telling about पथ्य (which is good for body/आयु) अपथ्य (which is harmful) and how to maintain health by proper eating habits and lifestyle

2. आतुरस्य विकार प्रशमन To help in getting rid of disease if someone falls pray to any disease (रोग/विकार) by using medicine (औषधि) and different techniques like पंचकर्म, क्षार कर्म, अग्नि कर्म, शल्य क्रिया etc.
Who should practice it in daily life who want to live a healthy life to fullfill his/her goals of Dharma (धिर्यते लोकाः अनेन इति धर्मः - जो इस लोक का धारण पोषण करे), अर्थ/wealth (संपत्ति, संसाधन), सुख (anything thats make you feel good) must follow the advice of Ayurveda.
One must understand the thing about the सुख mentioned in above shloka is of two types one is which experienced at the present physical existence (तात्कालिक सुख) and other is outwardly spiritual experience (पारलौकिक सुख).
Ayurveda is praised by all becoz it deals with both realms physical (लौकिक) and metaphysical(पारलौकिक) to reach the ultimate goal of this life which is Moksha.🙏
