OH MY GOD SAVE ME FROM PEOPLE WITH A LITTLE COMPUTER KNOWLEDGE
Patrick Colbeck DOES NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT HE IS TALKING ABOUT.
OH MY GOD THIS GUY IS NOW TELLING THE BOARD WHAT THEIR JOB IS
AND HE'S WRONG
The last two commenters have been sane, which is refreshing!
I had a little squee moment when someone who just won her election shot down the board member who tried to tell her that she won in a "close race," when she won by over 10,000 votes.
Derek Dobies has brought a LAUNDRY LIST of complaints about the conduct of the GOP poll watchers, and praise for the professionalism of the poll workers.
They're taking a break, and I'm enjoying the GOP getting shot down by the PA Supremes:
Oh my god there are a total of 500 people in line (including those who have spoken) to offer public comment on this meeting.
This is going to make C-SPAN call-ins look like a Zen master performing a tea ceremony.
Wow, first lady from Grosse Point Park just came in, politely called out this bullshit, and left. No fuss, no muss.
*toast*
I'm not going to comment on every caller, just any notable lowlights.
Meanwhile, Youtube commenters are responding to the stream of sane callers with things such as this gem: "NONE OF THESE PEOPLE ARE COMPETENT, THEY ALL HAVE LEAD POISONING"
There is hope for this world, as a bunch of people are shouting sentiments like that down in the comments. :D
Board is cutting comment time to 1 1/2 minutes since there are now over 500 people still in line to comment.
Norman Shinkle is a douchenozzle. That is all.
Trumpers in the Youtube comment section are PISSED that Schinkle abstained rather than voting no. :D
I'm not just saying these people are disconnected from reality, I'm also saying that some subset of these people also have guns. The time after Trump leaves office will resemble the 90s, but more so.
Steve Bannon weighs in with one intelligent point, quickly followed by two unhinged ones. I was wondering what happened to him for a second there.
Back to the board of canvassers: line is down to 250 people, they've gone through 40. A lot of people dropped off after the certification vote.
Caller is talking about things like democracy and basing things on evidence, and I feel like the echo of a more civilized time (comparatively) is rising.
Another angry Trump-supporting caller citing "evidence" of fraud that has fallen apart on inspection.
Youtube commenter comes through with: "TALK SMACK ON PARLER, LOSE IN COURT"
Caller is asking the board to delay the certification.
OK, who is gonna tell her?
211 commenters left.
There is no way I'm going to make it through this.
I'm getting pretty good at predicting what the commenters are generally going to say by how clearly they enunciate the spelling of their name, and the pace of their words. /1
The people who speak quickly and clearly are usually here to speak on behalf of democracy. The people who talk as if the board MUST LISTEN TO THEIR FEELINGS are usually there to argue against certification or allege fraud.
Caller just eloquently REAMED Shinkle for repeating conspiracy theories.
Obligatory plea for everyone to understand the process, and understand the truth. She ran a little long.
The chair of the board is a little punchy. I can't imagine why. 🤪
Wow, the next caller performed a deft verbal drive-by on Shinkle, slipped into the process of thanking the election workers.
Amazing job by that last caller. Slow, deliberate pace, but ended RIGHT ON THE MARK.
OMG caller's audio was too low and the chair had to direct her to submit her comments in writing instead, and the caller was so crestfallen... 😭
That sucks.
Caller alleging harassment and intimidation by a Trump supporter (I believe outside the polling place). She is MAD at the crazy. She managed to get to thanks to the workers before time ran out.
Chair is rigorously enforcing the 1.5 minute rule.
Protip for those calling in to things like this: don't say you'll be brief and not waste the time of the people you're talking to. That is not being brief and wasting the limited time YOU have.
Again emphasizing that most of the callers are supportive and appreciative, by a HUGE margin.
OH MY GOD. Chris Schornack is flipping out, resurrecting zombie conspiracy theories. WHY DO PEOPLE WASTE THEIR TIME DOING THIS CRAP
If you have extra stuff to say in a video call, THIS IS HOW YOU DO IT AND STAY UNDER TIME:
Okay, they're going into recess and I'm throwing in the towel. Y'all stay safe and healthy, and I look forward to celebrating on January 20th with you!

Man at PA hearing who claims to have witnessed several possibly suspicious things involved with the voting, none of which were definitely fraudulent in any way: "I think there were honest people who saw what they wanted to see," with absolutely no self-awareness.
OH MY GOD THIS GUY IS TRYING TO DESCRIBE BITLOCKER AND HE DOES NOT KNOW WHAT BITLOCKER DOES.
Imagine a hearing with Nunes, Collins, Gaetz, and Jordan, with their hand-picked witnesses.
1. It looks like the transition might finally be on! 2. I HATE GETTING POLICY ANNOUNCEMENTS FROM MY GOVERNMENT VIA TWEET 3. I know you hate seeing Trump's tweets, but this is a big deal.
One of two things is true: 1. A bunch of people at the White House just staged an intervention 2. Trump will be rage-tweeting in about 30 seconds
Okay, #2 might be true regardless of #1
Once again, Parler is taking this with its customary aplomb:
Friends, have you ever seen something perfect? I mean, have you ever witnessed a pure example of stupid cause and stupid effect so right, it's a consequence of natural law? This is Dinesh D'Souza posting "I'm not sure what to make of this" regarding the announcement above:
Just want to throw out there that religious schools (like Covington, don't know if they went in particular) were busing those kids to stand in front of the Planned Parenthood in DC before they went to the "March for Life." /1
The kids and their chaperones do anything from just standing there praying (and staring at the patients with pity or disapproval, and the escorts with scorn or almost fear), to calling us things like concentration camp guards, to "sidewalk counseling" the patients. /2
If you've never heard of sidewalk counseling, let me give it to you in a nutshell: it's walking up to a total stranger as they go into a medical facility, and attempting to either browbeat or guilt-trip them into not going into the clinic. /3
