A week ago I was as strong as any man can be, today I have tubes and wires attached to my body and I can't walk on my own.
I tried to do everything right, I wore a mask, I practiced social distancing, I avoided large gatherings and I didn't go anywhere I didn't need to go. But still.....
There's a tube attached to my side that's goes up into my chest, around the lung area. They drained 7 liters of fluids from my chest the very first night I was in the hospital. That was Wednesday. My chest is still draining fluids.
The infection is actually outside of my lungs, tomorrow morning I'm having surgery to remove some of the infection so my lungs can expand. The fluid and infection was collapsing my lungs, that's why I couldn't breathe
The crazy thing about this situation is when my son noticed I was really sick, he said he was gonna call 911. I told him not to, I will be alright. He snuck into the other room and called them anyway. He actually saved my life.
A white man swinging an axe approached NYPD officers, watch how close he comes to cutting one of them. If this man was Black, this would have ended very differently.
This happened at Walmart in San Leandro, CA. They shot #SteveTaylor who had dropped his baseball bat, AS HE WAS WALKING AWAY & then stood over his body & SHOT HIM IN THE BACK AGAIN.
Would they have done this to a white man?
Please take a look at the double standard in this video.
A white man with a gun compared to a 14 year old Black kid with a cigar.
