As a basic footsoldier, Protoss Zealots are more formidable than either Terran Marines or Zerglings. I remember when I first encountered the Protoss while playing Starcraft. I was sending a lone marine to explore the map
@WhoWouldWin13 when low and behold, a Protoss Zealot walked right past him. They stopped less than a split second later, both units having reached their destination. Less than a split second later, they turned and fought each other, the Protoss Zealot taking the Marine down in a few seconds.
@WhoWouldWin13 I always got a laugh out of that, but that experience taught me just how tough the Protoss basic units were. Zealots are big, super strong, wear armor and energy shields. They have psionic blades for crying out loud! Its possible that the latter could cut through Rita's giant
@WhoWouldWin13 sword (though it takes several shots for them to pierce Terran Marine armor, we have to remember that Starcraft takes place centuries in the future, while "Edge of Tomorrow" takes place in the 21rst century. Thus, human metallurgy in the Starcraft universe may be more advanced
@WhoWouldWin13 than modern metallurgy (what am I saying, of COURSE it would be), thus enabling them to make more durable metal, metal).
@WhoWouldWin13 Protoss do strike fast and hard, but they don't otherwise move fast. Still, power is mass X acceleration, and when you factor in that Protoss are basically alien giants (about 6 feet 7 to 10 feet tall, 8 to 9 feet being typical. They are much heavier than humans), this indicates
@WhoWouldWin13 Well, for starters, unlike a Terran Marine or a Zergling, Rita doesn't just stand and take damage; she moves around with superhuman agility (thanks to her combat suit). Also, unlike Terran Marines and Zerglings, she BLOCKS strikes, countering with gunfire (her suit has
@WhoWouldWin13 guns built into it) and or a savage sword slash. True, her guns probably wont be as formidable as those of Terrans in the Starcraft universe, but she nevertheless has projectile superiority (the Zealot's biggest weakness is their lack of projectile weaponry).
@WhoWouldWin13 Along with this, unlike a Terran Marine, who will continue to stand and fire against a closing Protoss Zealot (unless he is told to fall back), Rita is freedom to think on her own, potentially choosing to carry out a firing retreat, backing away while continuing to fire. True,
@WhoWouldWin13 with a giant stride, a Protoss could close in real quickly, but...Rita has super speed with her combat suit. She could potentially run circles around him.
@WhoWouldWin13 One thing we need to figure out is...could she penetrate his combat shields?
I think...its possible.
Both modern and Starcraft Terran militaries use U-238 shells. Uranium is almost twice as dense as lead, and thus, when fired at the same velocity, packs a FAR greater punch.
@WhoWouldWin13 Modern U-238 shells can be designed to penetrate most armor.
However, the U-238 shells of the Starcraft universe are no doubt more formidable, capable of penetrating take armor of its day and age (just compare the armor quality of the first tanks, used in the first world war,
@WhoWouldWin13 to modern Abrams and Challenger tanks. The difference is astronomical!! Now imagine tank armor from centuries into the future...oh boy...). Still, given that Rita no doubt has U-238 ammo in her combat suit (the Mimics are capable of holding their own against militaries that have
@WhoWouldWin13 tanks, missiles and bombs, obviously are pretty tough critters that would need some serious ammo to take them down), and that the tech in Rita's time is a bit more advanced than in ours (her time is from a later portion of the 21rst century), its possible that, given enough time
@WhoWouldWin13 she could shoot her way through Protoss energy shields. Indeed, she could potentially cut her way through those very shields. She'll have to work for it, but she's capable of doing so. True, a Zealot could theoretically block her sword with its energy blades...but its never shown
@WhoWouldWin13 to use them in a blocking fashion (why doesn't it block Zergling claw strikes????). Zealots are all about offense, while Rita is a master of both.
There is one thing we need to consider here right now: Combat Experience.
@WhoWouldWin13 Some Zealots are green, others have seen a whole lot of combat, but on average...none have had the level of combat experience that Rita has. Rita Vrataski, aka the Angel of Verdun, aka the Full Metal (censored), was exposed to Mimic blood during a battle in France. She
@WhoWouldWin13 subsequently gained the ability to travel back in time whenever she gets killed. Thus, Rita kept dying and dying, going back and back in time...until she became a warrior queen fit enough to be Chuck Norris' mistress.
@WhoWouldWin13 Eventually she had a blood transfer, which took away her powers, but by then, she had become a SUPERBEAST!
@WhoWouldWin13 Thus, when a Protoss Zealot faces Rita, he's facing someone who, due to a quirk of Mimic blood and physics, has potentially YEARS of combat experience...in only a short time. Rita know how to fight, and if she finds the Protoss too tough for her weapons, she'll try another route
@WhoWouldWin13 of attack. Indeed, I could see her opting to do something similar to what Dutch did when faced with a highly advanced alien killer, the predator.
@WhoWouldWin13 She could find and use grenades or a rocket launcher, set a trap, perhaps find a way to immobilize the Zealot. Rita thinks on her feet, while the Zealot has to rely on the wisdom of a commander who isn't even on the battlefield. Rita has the intelligence factor here, the
Godzilla I believe is pushing 380 feet high at least (in some scenes he looks WAY much taller than that), while the Kraken is likewise several hundred feet high. Its quite possible that Godzilla has more intelligence (the Kraken
@WhoWouldWin13 is said to not think, while Godzilla shows some smarts). Also, unlike the Kraken, Godzilla has a projectile weapon; atomic breath.
@WhoWouldWin13 However, before we give Godzilla any semblance of a victory, we need to keep in mind that the Kraken didn't fight fellow monsters like Godzilla has.
This would be the equivalent of a Medieval knight on foot fighting a man with a crossbow or longbow, or a Neanderthal using a thrusting spear against a Cro-Magnon with a throwing spear. In each instance,
