up getting really close to each other that Alaswad declared to people of quraish that Miqdad is his son and when he dies Miqdad will inherit all his wealth, he use to hear when he travels from the christians and jews about a prophet that should arrive probably in Mecca, and

Miqdad kept this in mind when he heard about the prophet pbuh he knew immediately that this is true, so miqdad was one of the first 10 to accept Islam, after he accepted islam he went to ppl of quraish and told them about it and said that worshipping idols is wrong, and ppl

immediately started to harm him just like the others. One day he wanted to get married before embracing islam but he had no one, and he was different from the others physically and color of skin no one wanted to give him their daughters, he made hijrah after the prophet because

of persecution he couldn’t go with the prophet right away, after embracing Islam Miqdad became a very good person, he had a deep rooted love for the prophet, he use to listen very carefully to the quran and the things the prophet would say, when he arrived in Medina the prophet

was so happy he told him he could stay with him among the group of 10 for a while. One day when they were coming back to the place where they were staying they always had a share of something to drink so there was 4 cups of milk they were 3 so each drinked his and one was left

for the prophet, sho miqdad was really hungry and shaytan started to make waswas till he drinks the milk that was for the prophet and then he regrets it and started to think what to do, so he pretended to be sleeping, then the prophet knocked and entered he looked at his cup and

saw that someone has drunk his milk and he made a duaa “ Oh Allah feed him who feed me and give him drink who gave me drink” so Miqdad heard that and got up immediately to feed the Prophet so he milked the goat (who miraculously was full of milk) and gave the Prophet and they

both had more than once milk, so he tells the prophet what happened. Miqdad wanted to get married after he embraced islam, so he went to one of the companions, some narrations say Abdullah Ibn Awf RA asked him why don’t you get married Miqdad replied why don’t you marry me your

daughter, who replied well I cannot get you married to my daughter, Miqdad went to the prophet and complained, so the prophet said wouldn’t you like if I made you from my in laws he replied yes so he married Miqdad to his cousin. In the battle of badr miqdad was the only one who

had a horse (some narrations say they were 3) in the battle and he also had a very good saying to the prophet telling him that whatever you decide we are with you we will not do like the ppl of Musa and tell you, you and your Lord can go, if you go we are with you, he spoke so

well that encouraged all the companions and then they went to the battle. At the time of Othman Ibn Affan RA khalifa it is reported that a man approached Miqdad telling him I love looking at your eyes because they saw the prophet, I wish I was amongs the ones who saw the prophet

and miqdad answered him “ wallahi thank Allah that today you are a believer, because if you were there at the time of the prophet just to see him, there is so much ppl who saw him and are now in Jahannam like abu jahal, it was such a test at that time to be a muslim we were

persecuted, harmed so thank Allah that at least you are a muslim and have iman, because you don’t know at that time if you saw him if you would be a believer “. Miqdad died in the year of 33 hijre approximately 73 yrs old may Allah’s blessings be upon him.
