Nagorno Karabakh is not a contested territory. It is internationally recognized territory of #Azerbaijan occupied and ethnically cleansed by Armenia.
Unfortunately it was Martinios’s and thousand other Armenians’ conscious choice to reside in the illegally occupied territories of #Azerbaijan at the expense of ethnic cleansing of around 1 million Azerbaijanis from their homeland.
Martinious and other Armenians leaving Kalbajar used safe passages&had enough time (5+15 days) to pack all their belongings and on top of it to burn the houses, put the forests in fire & commit ecological terror, to behead domestic animals and to destroy and mine the graveyards.
Azerbaijanis who fled Armenian occupation back in 1988-1994 faced genocide in Khojaly, as well as ambush, killing and terror in Kalbajar and other occupied territories.
Although @guardian unintentionally contributes to convey this message to the world, the fact that it does not comment and raise concern about Armenia's ecological terror that it had filmed, is quite disturbing.
Reporting about barbaric actions of Armenia will not bring justice to the whole situation. @guardian should instead put a moral emphasis on it. End of the thread.
