Back to watching Senate Oversight Committee. Speaker: "You must know in your heart this election was fraudulent."

Doesn't present any evidence, but asks lawmakers to appoint Michigan's Electoral College delegates for Trump. (Not going to happen)
Next speaker says she was also a poll challenger at TCF Center. She's describing election workers conducting the normal process of pre-processing absentee ballots and distributing provisional ballots.

She does not understand the process of providing a provisional ballot.
Next speaker is John McGrath. Said after hearing reports that ballots arrived late at TCF Center (arrival at TCF has nothing to do with when received by clerk) he headed to the center to be an independent observer.
Speaker now just blatantly lying, saying it's clear Wayne County did not certify election results.

They did. Two members of the board want to rescind their votes, but the board certified results.

No members of the Senate committee challenge the public testimony.
Next speaker says he clearly saw ballots improperly recorded at TCF Center.

Remember, lots of people who testified today said no GOP challengers were given access to properly monitor ballot tabulation at TCF
Next speaker, Linda Lee Tarver, is a defendant in a lawsuit filed before the Michigan Supreme Court. freep.com/story/news/pol…
Tarver just repeating falsehoods about Detroit recount.

Says 71% of Detroit precincts can't be recounted. Not true. Majority of all precincts were balanced. And in limited scenarios, unbalanced precincts can be recounted.

All moot, since recount deadline was last week
Sen. Lucido echoing Tarver's false statements on unbalanced precincts in Detroit.

Lucido:"Those ballots are not of color. They are one color...the disrespect that I've heard throughout the process in Wayne County, throughout Detroit."

Not sure what he's trying to say
Tarver: I don't see the legislative body passing any law that would change anything.

That's pretty much what lawmakers have the capacity and authority to do...
Now Lucido, who will soon take over as prosecutor in Macomb County, echoing the misleading or inaccurate statements from some of those who testified today.
Now we're talking about spoiling absentee ballots in the primary.

That has nothing to do with counting votes at TCF Center in November.
Lucido asking if the AG should investigate why 71% of precincts in Detroit were out of balance.

Would be a quick investigation: actual number of Detroit's Election Day precincts and absentee precincts that were either balanced or were out of balance w/explanation was 71.9%
Almost 7 hours in, Irwin notes that Michigan Secretary of State says Tarver 71% number is inaccurate.

He notes it may be helpful to have some elections officials testify first at the next hearing, as opposed to others
Next speaker wasn't at TCF Center. Chairman McBroom asking the person not to testify today. She's ignoring him, charges on.
Next speaker, Michael Hayes, says he was at TCF Center but was eventually removed.

Hayes: "I didn't see fraud. I don't think I need any more examples of the dog wags it's tail than what I saw that day."

So, there's that.
Next speaker is Eddie Kabicinski. He's a Warren city councilman.

Here's some background, from @challreporter freep.com/story/news/loc…
Next speaker says he was also a GOP poll challenger at TCF. Argues statements offered today amounts of evidence of misconduct.

Does not present evidence of voter fraud.
Speaker reminds everyone the media doesn't pick the state's elected officials.

In Michigan, al 83 county canvassing boards and the Michigan Board of State Canvassers have certified the state's election results.
Next speaker is Angelic Johnson. She's a co-defendant with Tarver in that lawsuit before the Michigan Supreme Court freep.com/story/news/pol…
Sounds like Johnson was the last speaker. Committee lasted about 7 hours.

Chairman McBroom said he's going to send questions to Chris Thomas, former longtime state elections administrator under Republican and Democratic secretaries of state.

Committee adjourns.
Here's @freep recap, with @paulegan4: Dozens of Republicans tell Senate lawmakers about experiences at TCF Center.

Many said they were hassled. Some said they thought they saw misconduct. None presented evidence of widespread fraud during 7-hour hearing
freep.com/story/news/pol…
Spokesman for @JocelynBenson, on Senate hearing: "No actual evidence of any wrongdoing or fraud was presented...Instead we saw a regurgitation of vague accusations based on lack of knowledge of election procedure and widely debunked conspiracy theories." freep.com/story/news/pol…

The president's video includes multiple false statements about Michigan and its elections process.

They are demonstrably false.
In related news, Rudy Giuliani and MI GOP Chairwoman Laura Cox are holding a Zoom call for Michigan supporters right now.

Giuliani repeated allegations of mass voter fraud. Does not provide any evidence.

Attacking mail-in ballots (remember, President Trump voted absentee) Image
Giuliani says there was coordinated, nationwide effort to block GOP poll challengers from watching ballot counting in Democratic-controlled cities.

Remember, lots of GOP poll challengers testified at MI Senate hearing *yesterday* that they say they saw misconduct at TCF Center

The Michigan Board of State Canvassers meeting is scheduled to start at 1 pm. They'll take up what in the past has been the routine task of certifying statewide election results.

You can join 4,000 (and climbing) other people and watch the meeting live freep.com/story/news/pol…
As many have noted, there are a litany of outcomes from this Board of State Canvassers meeting.

Essentially all of them end with President-elect Joe Biden receiving Michigan's 16 electoral votes.

More on the board and it's duties from @clarajanehen freep.com/story/news/loc…
We've passed 10,000 people watching the livestream of the Board of Canvassers meeting. Clearly, lots of interest in the electoral process!
