Shreekhetra of Lord ShreeJagannath is the most prominent of the 4-Dhams. A devotee after bathing in any pilgrimage, he/she should bathe in the Mahodadhi & have darshan of Lord ShreeJagannath, otherwise he/she can't get Salvation.....
So at the end pilgrims come to Puri for the Divinedarshan of Mahaprabhu after visiting all Dhams. And it's said that by offering Pinddaan & Dipping here one gets Salvation. The place in the temple from "Kalpavriksha (Kalpabruksha)" to "Mahodadhi" is called "Antarvedi".....
Leaving the body at this place leads to salvation. One of the ghats or places of Mahodadhi is Swargadwar. It is believed that Swargadwar is a place where cremation leads to heaven. The founders of all religions have come to Puri to have a vision of Mahabahu & have attained.......
divine knowledge & accepted Lord as their (Istha/Ista) in various sizes; as stated in various Purana-Scriptures. The Vaishnavas consider him as ShreeKrishna or ShreeVishnu. The Shaktas & Shaivas as MahaBhairab & MahaKal. The Jains as Rishabhanatha & the Buddhists as Tathagata....
The Vedantists as Lord Brahma even Christians & Islam find something in him to relate to their own religion. Guru Nanak, the founder of Sikhism also didn't fail to worship him.....
During the world famous RathYatra (Car-Festival), the famous Muslim devotee Salabega wrote.....
..some of the most fascinating hymns in his praise & even now European, African, American, Asian & Russian devotees dance in front of his chariot. Therefore ShreeJagannath is known as The_Universal_Lord, a Dark-Coloured & Round-Eyed (Chakadola /Chakanayana /ChakaAakhia) Deity....
His Aayudha in both hands; the Conch-Shell & the Wheel where the Conch produces the Divine-Sounds & the Wheel makes the Divine-Instruments. These two machines are important for the industry, so our Lord ShreeJagannath is the symbol of Industries.....
There are four main characteristics that are permanently important in relation to any Deity:
His Form: Divine-Rupa
His Temple: ShreeMandira (Bada-Deula)
His Food: Mahaprasad
His Festival: Divine-Yatra
His Road: Grand-Road (Bada-Danda)
His Sea: Mahodadhi The TeerthaRaaj
The 36 categories of sevayatas comprising about 120 subcategories are operating in this sacred industry & the production creates a famous market called AnandBazaar; supplies Mahaprasad to millions of devotees every day. So Temple is said to be the largest Hotel in the World.....
Oh yes, his Great Temple is incomparable with any other temples in the World. Everything about him is the Very Best. All the important features together make him a Universal-Deity, a symbol of Universal-Love-And-Pardon.....
The real Brahma is inside his heart & at the time of Nabakalebara, this is transformed from the Old-Deity to the New. It's mentioned in the ShreemadBhagabatGeeta:
The supreme Adobe, the supreme Researcher, the eternal Divine-Purush, the Master, Omnipresent-Omniscient-Omnipotent & so he isn't only a Material-Manifesto, but also the only Symbolic-Expression of Universal-Love in which all Contradictions melt & all Variations fade into Unity..

One of the incarnations of Lord ShreeVishnu is "Matsy_Avatar" & out of his one thousands names, ShreeVishnu has two names such as "Rohita" & "Animisha" having no eye-lids which indicates Matsya_Avatar.
These round eyes without lid symbolize that Lord ShreeJagannath is ever active as well as vigilant. And to him; Days, Nights & Fatigue make no meaning.....
In the sacred "Shreemad Bhagabat Geeta" the eyes of Mahaprabhu like "The Sun & The Moon" as well.
"Anadi-Madhyantam Ananta-Viryam
Ananta-Bahum Shashi-Surya-Netram
Pashyami Tvam Dipta-Hutasha-Vaktram
Sva-Tejasa Vishvam Idam Tapantam"
(Biswarupa-Darshan-Jyoga)

The Maharaja Sri Padmanabh Narendra of Ranapur had no child. According to the Puranas, the Maharaja took refuge of Sri Achuthanandan to get rid of this hard situation. During his stay in Ranpur, Sri Achuthanandan composed the #HaribanshPurana
Every day the Maharaja recited this #Haribansha_Purana & with the blessings of the Lord over time; 14 of his sons were born. The sons later received 18 titles from Gajapati Maharaja Sri Mukunda Dev, along with 18 traces. These are the followings:
Srichandan, Birabar, Mangaraj, Harichandan, Surendra Singh, Mansingh, Gajendra Singh, Puthusingh, Jagatsingh, Rajendra Singh, Mardaraj Singh, Jagdev, Bidydadhar, Chhotray, Ray Singh, Bhramarbara & Khyatribar.
During the reign of Gajapati Sri Mukunda Dev; Kalapahad invaded Odisha.
In 1636/37 the whole temple was 1st coated with Lime_Paste by Gajapati_Maharaja_Narasimha_Dev of Khurda. He used to regularly apply a thick layer of Lime_Paste to protect the temple from the Salty_Air coming from the Sea.
And during the reign of Gajapati_Maharaja_Harekrishna_Deva (1718), lime paste was Re-applied for the protection against the Salty_Environment. Similarly, it also functioned in the reign of Gajapati_Maharaja_Ramachandra_Dev in 1736 & Gajapati_Maharaja_Dibyasina_Deva-II in 1800.
Around 1844, Maharani_Niladri_Patamahadei tried to shine a Lime_Coat; for which all the Kauris had to be burnt in the Royal_Treasury to obtain the lime to meet the Lime_Requirement. Yes, it was for the 4th time. When Maharani tried to bestow a Lime_Coat on the temple in 1844.
The greatest attraction of Puri is the World_Famous Shreejagannath_Temple. It's also known as Shreemandira & Bada Deula.
There are four Holy Shrines (Dham) all over India such as Shreebadreenath in North, ShreeRaamnath in South, Shreedwareekanath in West & in East Shreejagannath Dham.
"Chaturangam Hi Sadhnam Hi Sadhnaam" is based on these four paths. There are four main methods of Aryasadhana: Penance, Renunciation, Service & Nama. Lord Shreenarayan did penance at Badrikashram in Satya Yuga & established it as the abode of Satya Yuga as Tapabhoomi.
