I am at the #Valdosta Trump rally. Cell signal is virtually unusable, so I’ll likely be confined to filming what I can and releasing it all later, but I’ll try to provide updates here if at all possible.
“Santa Q” is here greeting people on line to the busses.
“Ho! Ho! Ho! Do you believe in Q?” he’s asking people on line.
This is a look at the security line at the #Valdosta Trump rally. People have been entering since 4pm, some of whom had been waiting since as early as 7am according to reporting by @BGOnTheScene earlier today.
After going through Secret Service etc, private security inside the event physically forced me to leave the Valdosta rally for having a DSLR camera.
When I showed credential they simply said “Secret Service allows it, we don’t” and then forced me to leave.
I’m now outside rally
A few hundred outside the rally watching on large screen.
Cycle of busses takes audience here from parking.
Supposedly there’s about 60 busses holding about 100 each which made 4 laps each, which means at least roughly 24,000 attendees inside.
Here’s (accidentally captured) video of the Trump private security who forced me to leave the rally for having a camera after I got in.
VIDEO THREAD: This afternoon, "Stop the Steal" activists led by pro-Trump operative @ali gathered in front of the capitol in Atlanta, Georgia to hold a prayer vigil/rally to advocate President Trump retain the presidency for a second term.
One of the first "Stop the Steal" speakers made a biblical analogy: "Just like I've rejected Saul as king, I've rejected Biden as king, for I'm about to reappoint and re-anoint my David, President Donald J. Trump, to a second term."
"The Democrats have systematically tried to steal this election," said "Stop the Steal" co-founder @MichaelCoudrey. "They want to infringe on our constitutional right to free speech."
"You know what we'll do? We will be louder than ever before. Can I get an 'amen?'"
VIDEO THREAD: I traveled to Valdosta, GA to film at President Trump's rally for GOP Senators Perdue and Loeffler.
Tens of thousands made the trip, bussing from parking lot to the airport where they made their way into the rally through security to see Trump arrive in Marine One.
I was unfortunately kicked out for having a DSLR camera (already not my usual setup, but using it for video to be allowed in).
I was one of hundreds watching the speech on a screen just outside, as the president described that "we didn't lose" the election.
A Trump supporter told the crowd they need to protest in support of "Trump 2020!"
"If they steal it, support President Trump 2024! Why? We've got to stop abortion. We've got to stop the American Holocaust."
"We've got to stop the Democrats from stealing our elections!"
On my way to Trump's rally in Georgia, I stopped in McDonough, GA where Rep Andy Biggs (R) rallied for Senators Perdue and Loeffler.
Biggs was confronted by an attendee who demanded to know how Biggs would "Stop the Steal."
Congressman Biggs engaged with the Trump supporter, who suggested delaying the January 5 runoff election to make sure it's a "fair election."
"If you wanna change your election pattern, you better have the majority of congress," Rep Biggs told him.
I asked Congressman Biggs how he'd respond to conservative voters threatening to "Boycott the vote" or "write-in Trump" in the senate run-off elections over election integrity concerns.
"They've gotta get out and vote for these two candidates" first to make a claim, he says.
On Saturday, I filmed about 50-60 men march armed around the Capitol in Richmond. They believed they were defying an ordinance banning guns at protests.
I reached out to @RichmondPolice, who says it was a "gathering" that didn't meet the threshold of an event requiring permit.
This is my thread from the day of the event.
“It’s meant to be a meaningful day, where the cops stand down and listen to us, and they don’t enforce the unconstitutional orders," said @realmikedunn at the time.
This is the second time @realmikedunn has held what he says was a protest defying local gun laws and got away with it, where the police have then stated the ordinance didn't apply.
Today as Trump supporters held another "Stop the Steal" rally in Atlanta, GA, a coalition of armed leftist militia members, black-bloc clad antifascists, Refuse Fascism, and Black Lives Matter activists counter-protested. #AtlantaProtests
Today "boogaloo boy" Mike Dunn led militia activists on an armed march in laps around the Capitol in Richmond, Virginia, where it's illegal to carry guns at protests, and it's illegal to carry 20+ round mags.
Police stood back and did not intervene as the group defied both laws.
Police monitored the area, many carrying long rifles themselves, but did not intervene as the "boogaloo boys" marched by them as well as signs reading "firearms prohibited beyond this point."
Other than pleasantries like "good morning," police didn't really speak to them.
Actually, earlier in the day, one officer approached the group of boogaloo activists, but he actually wasn't there for them.
The officer asked that a cameraperson filming them step down from the ledge he was getting an elevated shot from, because that was dangerous.
