One month ago, Fox News joined mainstream outlet decision desks in calling the election for Joe Biden. Read @ParkerMolloy on how that kicked off a right-wing media civil war -- and a race for audience to the bottom of the fever swamp. mediamatters.org/voter-fraud-an…
It's been interesting to watch Fox flounder as it tries to respond to challengers. After the Daily Wire tried to build a subscriber base by attacking the network, I thought Fox might respond by banning its commentators from their airwaves.
But Daily Wire's Matt Walsh and Candace Owens have each appeared on Tucker Carlson's show since then. Either the network's executives aren't trying to respond, or they can't control their primetime hosts (or both).
Basically the right-wing media contains a bunch of people who build their brands with Fox appearances, and a bunch of people who got fired from Fox for one reason or another, they are all gunning for its market share, and the network's executives are too feckless to do anything.
Update: Fox now running a promo for the host of its most-watched show interviewing a commentator whose outlet emailed its list urging people to "cut the cord" and instead subscribe to them, in part because Fox News called Arizona for Biden.

Fox News has run multiple segments today detailing the travails of a Minnesota family that received an anonymous letter criticizing their Christmas light display.
Meanwhile, a record number of Americans are hospitalized with COVID and the death total is soaring.
This isn't even the only dumb "War on Christmas" bullshit they're running with today.
All three Fox primetime shows last night ran with the Trump campaign's claim that "suitcases" of Georgia ballots had been counted without an election supervisor present.
That turns out to be total bullshit, as their own network now reports.
Here's a chyron that ran on the November 24 edition of Fox "straight news" flagship Special Report, as Bill Bennett explained that "this election was stolen."
On the night of Nov. 24, Trump watched Rep. Gosar's appearance on the previous night's edition of Lou Dobbs.
