As policy, it made no sense. Why condition help for struggling Americans on the development of a vaccine? Didn't the lack of vaccine in recent months, with virus raging, make it *more* urgent to help people? Yet Pelosi wouldn't do it. 3/10

But it also suggested the personal obsession driving her refusal to approve aid at a time when millions of Americans were out of a job, stretching to pay rent, struggling to buy food, desperately trying to make ends meet. 5/10

Short version: Pelosi suffered from terrible case of Trump Derangement Syndrome. Remember the show she made of tearing up State of Union address? Calling worldwide pandemic the 'Trump virus'? Storming out of White House? Starting impeachment before even seeing evidence? 6/10

That is same Pelosi who blocked virus relief efforts. In election year, when relief bill would help millions of Americans but might also, as ancillary effect, boost Trump's re-election bid, she would not act. 7/10 washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/byron-…

Now the election has gone Pelosi's way. And--Presto!--she's ready to deal. But don't ask her if she was wrong. Pelosi lashed out when reporter asked if it was mistake to block earlier efforts. 'That was not a mistake. It was a decision,' she said. 8/10

Must say, the Jen Psaki Russian hat brouhaha is amusing. Yes, that was her, all smiles, in 2014 with Russian FM Lavrov and spox Zakharova, plus John Kerry. Yes, she's wearing hammer-and-sickle hat they gave her. Russian contacts! 1/4 usatoday.com/story/news/fac…

It's amusing now, of course, in light of Russia frenzy Psaki's party later whipped up. Of course the circumstances of the picture were innocent, but so were circumstances of Jeff Sessions' meet-and-greet in 2016, about which he and others were questioned by Mueller. 2/4

Instead of laughing it off, Psaki immediately reached for the laziest, most accusatory response: Anyone who passes on such 'misinformation' is 'simply a puppet of the [Russian] propaganda machine.' Really! 3/4

If you watched Trump attorneys newser yesterday, you saw Sidney Powell say they had 'one very strong witness' who explained how the alleged Dominion-Smartmatic vote-changing operation worked. His 'stunning, detailed' affidavit was attached to Lin Wood lawsuit. From Powell: 1/6

Yes, social media angle is important. But big story is: Did Hunter Biden introduce that Ukrainian businessman to his vice president dad? Important for two reasons... 2/12

First, we already know that a corrupt Ukrainian company, Burisma, put Hunter Biden on its board to win influence with Obama administration. NYP story suggests Burisma actually got something for its money. 3/12

On Democrats and court packing. Most won't talk about it. They say voters care more about health care. So: Think back to 2018 campaign. Democrats didn't want to talk about impeachment. Said voters cared more about health care. washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/byron-…
