I laugh when someone says they prefer Trump over Obama in regards to jobs and economy.
Annual economic output under Trump was 2.5%, compared to 2.4% under Obama.
Economic growth under Trump was barely above both Obama and Bush before the pandemic.
The last three years of President Obama’s administration saw an increase of 8.1 million jobs and a 2 percentage-point drop in the overall unemployment rate.
Under Trump, the number of jobs increased by 6.55 million in his first three years, and unemployment dropped by 0.7%
Unemployment reached a half-century low earlier in 2020, but it spiked to historic levels during the pandemic. It has fallen, but it is still almost as high as when Obama took office.
Trump's unemployment percentages would've been similar to Obama's without the pandemic.
Wages grew steadily under Bush and slowed under Obama. They started picking up again under Trump, but the pandemic's impact skewed 2020's data.
Millions of low-wage workers were laid off during the pandemic, while many higher-wage white collar workers were able to continue working remotely, so that artificially inflated the average wage for those still able to work.
During President Trump’s first three years in office, the S&P 500 rose by 12.2%, compared to a 7.5% increase in the last three years of the Obama
In Obama's 8 years in office, the Federal Debt rose by 9 trillion.
In Trump's almost 4 years, it has risen by almost 7 trillion.
The trade deficit grew under Bush and largely held steady during Obama's terms. Trump pledged to erase it with better trade deals, but it has largely remained at similar levels.
Bush was the last president to inherit a budget surplus and started running a deficit. Obama cut it, though Trump ran bigger ones as a result of his tax cuts and the federal response to the pandemic.
Keep in mind the pandemic affected Trump's numbers considerably.
Point being, they're fairly similar in regards to the economy & jobs. The only boast Trump has would be the stock market and wages, but the market doesn't mean much.
All stats can be easily found on .gov sites.
What all this tells me is that people are decidedly uninformed and only hate based on political party, not what the President actually does in regards to the economy.

You would go apeshit if I disparaged Melania Trump of posing nude and said that wasn’t tasteful, classy, or befitting a First Lady, but you are ok with people disparaging the impending FLOTUS her title that she damn well earned?
BTW, @MichelleVaitkus, the term “doctor” derives from the Latin word for "teacher" and originally referred to a small group of theologians who had approval from the Church to speak on religious matters, and later being used to refer to qualified academic professionals.
And even later that THAT became popular to describe medical professionals.
So, @MichelleVaitkus, you can sit down and shut up. Perhaps stick to things you know, like frying your man some chicken in your double wide.
Really? Because @JoeBiden has actually had one of the most consistent records in Washington, from his time as a Senator through his time as VP. I challenge you to come up with something to challenge these points other than a catchy phrase.
Biden agrees with Trump that China is breaking international trade rules, unfairly subsidizing Chinese companies, and discriminating against U.S. firms and stealing intellectual property.
Tell me why you think that's wrong.
While we all know China is a problem, Trump's tariffs erratic and self-defeating, we need targeted retaliation against China using existing trade laws and building a united front of allies.
Give me one good, unbiased reason this is a bad thing in your opinion.
400 years ago white people brought black people here, enslaved them & sold them, treated them as less than human for 250 years, while white men built the country and created its laws and its systems of government.
10-15 generations of white families got to grow and flourish and make choices that could make their lives better.
Then 150 years ago white people "freed" black people from slavery. But then angry white people created laws that made it impossible for them to vote.
Or to own land.
Or to have the same rights as white people.
They even erected monuments glorifying people who actively fought to keep them enslaved. All while another 5-10 generations of white families got to grow and accumulate wealth and gain land and get an education.
In Boston, during a verbal dispute, an unarmed teenage boy was forcefully hit in the head with the butt of a weapon by local law enforcement.
Word of the incident spread quickly, and a large number of locals gathered in the street where the incident had happened to protest almost immediately.
As the crowd grew, angry protesters shouted slogans; some business owners, fearing property damage, shut their doors.
The local authorities called for uniformed backup; backup came, well-armed.
The assembly was deemed "unlawful," and the crowd was ordered to disperse. The protesters began to throw dirt clods in response.
