and that too after dredging. Where as for a cargo ship to pass through you need a minimum of 23 meters for a ship with mere 12, 500 Dead weight ton. That too once in 10 years you have to re-dredge to remove sand for even a passenger ship to pass, which needs only about 5 -7 mtrs
So on Shipping companies not Liner services and World Port Unions showed any intrest to this selfish game of DMK.
