I need to update my Blank & Double Gameweek twitter moment ⚡️

I'm posting some general tweets about the schedule in this thread and then I'll add them to my moment.

Here's the schedule for the rest of the season:

There are 3 Blanks from GWs 1 + 11 that still need to be rescheduled.

4-6 GW18 Blanks will move to DGW19.

The FA Cup QFs will cause Blanks in GW29 but we can't be sure which GW they'll move to - they'll probably be spread out.
The Blanks from GWs 1 + 11 are:
BUR vs MUN*
MCI* vs AVL
AVL vs NEW*

The earliest these Blanks could be played is in GW17 but that's only possible if neither team reaches the EFL Cup SFs.

The EFL Cup QF draw is:
Brentford v NEW*
ARS vs MCI*
EVE vs MUN*
Stoke vs TOT
If the GW 1+11 Blanks aren't moved to GW17 then they might be moved to a midweek that both teams have free in either GW18 or GW19

There'll be more pressure to move BUR vs MUN to GW 18/19 because Man Utd are the team that's most likely to face a fixture pileup later in the season
The GW18 fixtures will be split between GW18 and the midweek after GW19.

WHU vs WBA has already been moved from GW18 to DGW19.
We'll find out the full BGW18 and DGW19 schedule when the January TV fixtures are announced in the 2nd half of December
The Jan TV fixtures should be confirmed before the deadline to use your 1st Wildcard (GW16)

When the BGW18 & DGW19 fixtures are confirmed, you can decide on a chip strategy for how you'll navigate them

I've saved my 1st WC and I'm planning to use it in GW16 and then FH18 + BB19
DGW19 will likely be the biggest DGW of the season, so it should be a good time to use the Bench Boost chip.

The transition between BGW18 and DGW19 will likely be the biggest obstacle in the FPL season, so BGW18 seems like it'll be an obvious time to use the Free Hit chip.
People who use their 1st WC in GW16 or 2nd WC in GW17 to target DGW19 could overcommit to the DGW and leave their team in bad shape for the subsequent GWs.

I've made a spreadsheet that helps you to plan your transfers and starting XIs in future GWs 👇

If you need a *BIG* speech from me then that's probably a sign that you should hit that WC button.

The WC will be useful in GW16, but it's likely to be more useful to you now if your team is in really bad shape.
If you WC before the GW 18/19 fixtures are announced then you might chose to use your 2nd Wildcard in GW17 and Free Hit in GW18 - but then you'd have to navigate the final 3rd of the season without a team-changing chip (WC/FH).
In a normal season, you'd want to have both FH and WC available to help navigate the Blanks and Doubles in the final third of the season, but this isn't a normal season.

GW29 will likely be the only big BGW in the final third of the season and we may not get a big DGW after GW19 Image

I haven't tweeted much about chip strategy recently...

You don't need to commit to a chip strategy until next week, when we'll have a lot more clarity on the Blank and Double Gameweek schedule.

Here's what we'll learn before the Gameweek 27 deadline:
We'll know which teams will Blank in GW31.

We'll have a good idea of which teams will Double in GW32 (or the DGW32 fixtures could even be confirmed before the deadline next Friday).

We'll have more clarity on the potential Blanks in GW33 and the potential the Doubles in GW35.
And we'll have more clarity on whether there'll need to be another mini-Double Gameweek outside of GWs 32 and 35.
(If Chelsea and Brighton both lose their FA Cup 5th Round ties, there almost certainly won't be another mini-Double GW)
