You don't need to commit to a chip strategy until next week, when we'll have a lot more clarity on the Blank and Double Gameweek schedule.
Here's what we'll learn before the Gameweek 27 deadline:
We'll have a good idea of which teams will Double in GW32 (or the DGW32 fixtures could even be confirmed before the deadline next Friday).
We'll have more clarity on the potential Blanks in GW33 and the potential the Doubles in GW35.
(If Chelsea and Brighton both lose their FA Cup 5th Round ties, there almost certainly won't be another mini-Double GW)
Here are the five chip strategies that you could follow:
Strategy 1
Use free transfers to prepare for Blank Gameweeks 31 and 33, Free Hit in Double Gameweek 32, Wildcard in GW34.
Use free transfers to prepare for Blank Gameweek 31, Wildcard in Double Gameweek 32, Free Hit in Blank Gameweek 33.
Strategy 3
Use free transfers to prepare for Double Gameweek 32, Free Hit in Blank Gameweek 31, Wildcard in Blank Gameweek 33 or in GW34.
Wildcard in GWs 27-30, set your team up for Double Gameweek 32, Free Hit in Blank Gameweek 31.
Strategy 5
Wildcard in GWs 27-31, set your team up for Blank Gameweeks 31 and 33, Free Hit in Double Gameweek 32.
Strategies 3 and 4 would allow you to Bench Boost in Double GW32 and Triple Captain in Double GW35, or vice versa.
I prefer Strategy 1 because it allows you to build two different teams for the two Double Gameweeks.
After the GW31 Blanks have been confirmed, try to come up with a transfer plan for Strategy 1; if you're not happy with your starting XIs in GWs 27-30 and you won't be able to get many active players in the Blank GWs, try planning for a different strategy.
