Ain't no school bus (ain't no school bus)
Ain't no streetcar (ain't no streetcar)
Ain't no subway car (ain't no subway car)
The shuttle bus (the shuttle bus)!

Gimme confirmation of my information
Of my transportation from Kennedy Station
Well, I start to cuss on the McCowan bus
And you can't go far on the College Street car
You know the GO train is a real pain
And the LRT—that's not for me
Well, you can't have fun on the York U run
And the Eglinton West trolley is just a big folly…

Well, I don't give a damn ‘bout the Bathurst tram
So I'll make a fuss about shuttle bus!

(Sh-Sh-Sh-Sh-Sh-Sh-Sh-Sh-Shuttle Bus) The Shuttle Bus
(Sh-Sh-Sh-Sh-Sh-Sh-Sh-Sh-Shuttle Bus) It's raising quite a fuss
Cos on bus bus number 3 (number 3)
On the TTC (TTC)
Yeah, the bus number 3 (the number 3)
On the TTC (TTC)
Well, a new sub-way (new sub-way)
I guess it'll be OK (that's OK)
But I’ll ride bus number 3 (number 3)
On the T-T-T-TTC (T-T-T-TTC)
Anyway, we'll be fine. SmartTrack will open next year as promised, taking some of the pressure off.

Once public meetings start again, TPSB meetings should be held in a friendlier environment. City Hall Council Chambers would be an improvement over the College Street fortress

A thread on old Brewers Retail locations in Northern Ontario.

Unlike the south, most Beer Store locations in the North still have the retro orange signs.

But there’s something more interesting about these stores…

1/
We’ll start with the main North Bay store: note it’s not in the main shopping area, but outside of downtown on the old highway, behind, there’s a railway. 2/

“This part of Brampton is also densely populated with essential workers, census data shows.”

Precarious employment in the manufacturing, retail, and logistics sectors.
The map in the article also shows hot spots Rexdale, Malton, and northeast Scarborough. NE Scarborough also has many food production plants, warehouses, and a major depot where precarious workers pick up your Amazon orders. Image

With the loss of the GO-TTC fare discount, let’s see how long it takes to get to campus from Highway 407 Station on foot to save $3.20 each way.
I’ll start by following the signs to street level. It’s pretty in the late afternoon sun.
Wait. Didn’t it say “to street?”
