I’m so rageful at the bullshit, contempt & violence trans people experience every day. It’s just so unfair. How fragile is this cis patriarchal world that we try to subjugate people who just want to live and thrive outside of the gender binary. Stop killing the people we love!
It’s unacceptable that trans people have to live like this. The constant hyper vigilance must be so draining. Even worse if they are a woman, Black and/or disabled.
I try not to misdirect or appropriate anger when it’s not my experience, but my heart is so heavy right now!
Imagine being so committed to the total fallacy of biological essentialism that you deny people health care, community, work, education, dignity and safety just to prove your point.
And as many people have pointed out, this countries mental health care system is rubbish. Under resourced, ill equipped and difficult to navigate. And as a result, we all continue to lose the people we love.
We run awareness raising campaigns about reaching out for help if you need it, but most of the time the services are just not available. And when they are, they are inadequately equipped and sometimes harmful to marginalised people.

Firstly, imagine how these announcements frighten people and make them feel too worried about the attention and stigma of testing positive.
Then imagine they are in workplaces where they are already being discriminated against, paid minimum wage, their workplace hasn’t provided them the necessary PPE and they have to interact with a broad range of people who also don’t respect social distancing recommendations
If you're a victim of police misconduct during stage 3 shutdown, here is a tool that can help you. Increasing police discretionary powers during a pandemic will mean particular communities are going to be unfairly targeted, over policed, face prison time. We need accountability.
*How to hold broadcast media accountable for false racist reporting*
(A step by step thread)
Before anything, keep an eye on the safety of black people in your community. There is often a spike in hate crimes when racist reports are broadcasted.
1) Contact the broadcast channel directly and complain about the harmful consequences of their racist, unethical and hyperbolic reporting.
