*How to hold broadcast media accountable for false racist reporting*
(A step by step thread)
Before anything, keep an eye on the safety of black people in your community. There is often a spike in hate crimes when racist reports are broadcasted.
1) Contact the broadcast channel directly and complain about the harmful consequences of their racist, unethical and hyperbolic reporting.
2) Contact Free TV Australia to make a complaint about the television channel in question. You can reference clause 1.9.6 of the Commercial Television Industry Code of Practice. complaints.freetv.com.au/Submission
3) Contact the advertisers during the segment to protest their financial support of racist reporting.
4) Contact the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) and make a complaint about the unethical reporting by referencing 2.6.2 in ACMA's Commercial Television Industry Code of Practice 2015. complaint.acma.gov.au/Infiniti/Produ…

These are obviously not the only responses we can take to confront racism, but it can help to throw sand into the cogs of a machine that targets black people with impunity
