Another new week, another thread to clean up the dirt being tossed around by #S386 & #HR1044 opponents. This includes a lot of AILA atty's and a lot of "scholars" from a certain 2 nations. Again, not surprised at all because equality feels like oppression to them. Lets begin

work visas and then join the queue for employment based GC's like everybody else. Recent restrictions on F1/J1 visas apply to every nation. You are not the only ones affected. So quit whining and get to "work"

This bill will make it impossible for people from certain nations to get employed. Again, this is an EEOC/DOL issue. Nothing to do with EB Visas. If you are skilled/qualified, you will get the job. Read that again- "skilled/qualified"

This bill will funnel all GC's to Indians. This one just blows my mind. How do you even arrive at this conclusion? There is a transition period of 9y and a good chunk of EB GC's will be reserved for ROW through that time. Read the damn bill!

This is a GC giveaway bill- WTF? You never called FB/DV GC's as giveaway categories when they account for more than 80% of the GC's given out every year. This bill only brings everyone from EB categories in the same queue.

This bill will destroy immigration from ROW. How? Just because they will have to wait the same time as everyone else, they will be "destroyed"? Equality = oppression when you have been given preferential treatment. Point proven

As always, Rant time- we can obviously point fingers to people from a certain 2 nations for opposing #S386 / #HR1044 but we have snakes in our community as well who are opposing this. Eg Mona Shah's law group . There are AILA atty's opposing this-

because their bread & butter H1B new filings and renewals will diminish. This is a step in the right direction. Any person with a sane and logical mind would agree. Yet, you stand on the other end of the spectrum.
