The Hippocratic oath is not a question or a suggestion. It is a command. “DO NO HARM.” Doctors SWEAR to be CERTAIN their cures are not worse than the disease.

Strategies to “Stop the spread” are now without question causing greater harm than the disease.

Here's how... Image

1 IN 4 excess US deaths IS NOT A COVID DEATH

People under 45 had the largest increase in deaths—nearly 20%. Only ¼ of those were COVID.

Meaning… LOCKDOWNS KILLED 3X MORE PEOPLE THAN COVID under 45.

There are 190 Million people in the US under 45.

THIS IS HARM Image
There are 210 million people—63.5% of the U.S. under 50. Those people are 3x more likely to die of lockdowns than COVID. Their risk of death from COVID is less or equal to their risk of death from flu.

Weekly deaths for under 45 are not tightly linked to COVID peaks like other age groups.

This strongly suggests these deaths are lockdown deaths, not COVID deaths.

Not only is the myth of “stop the spread” killing people, it is also resulting in more than 50% of U.S. children not being educated. Looking at a map, there is almost no relationship between COVID spread and in-person schooling.

The people most likely to be learning remotely are the poor and minorities. They are also least likely to have environments allowing them to thrive in virtual learning.

“slow or stop the spread” is nothing more than “protect the rich, infect the poor.” Increased deaths amongst minorities occur BECAUSE they infected at a higher rate, due to public “health” policies that leave them exposed.

THIS IS HARM.

The jobs sacrificed to “stop the spread” are disproportionately in hospitality, travel & entertainment

Not only are we killing & failing to educate the lower & middle classes at higher rates

We destroying their jobs at higher rates

If northeast governors hadn’t forced nursing homes to accept COVID+ patients, we may have saved tens of thousands of seniors.

Other than the spring peak most age groups have barely exceeded weekly peak deaths from the 2018 flu season. EVEN NOW.

Our lockdown policies expressly harmed the most vulnerable. And they KNEW IT would. Marc Lipsitch now a purveyor of fear and panic wrote this in 2009.

THIS IS CRIMINAL HARM.

But instead of acknowledging these terrible mistakes and changing course, our politicians and the medical community are doubling down.

They have ceased being scientists and doctors.

They have broken their oaths.
14/19

“Follow the science” is nothing more than a shield for politicians to hide behind.

By using science as political cover, and silencing scientifically sound counter-arguments, our politicians are destroying science.

THIS IS HARM.
15/19

Public health officials have secured our complicity with these morally reprehensible and scientifically unsound policies by stoking fear.

This fear is unfounded for 63% of the nation.

Our compliance is resulting in the virus raging through the most vulnerable among us.
16/19

Just as Dr. Lipsitch said it would. Our fear is also causing harm. Those who are staying home to stop the spread, are in fact just removing themselves as targets. If at risk, this is good. If not, this is bad.
17/19
It is time to throw off fear for bravery.

It is time for those of us who are at low risk to be the shield for those who are at high risk, rather than a shield for incompetent politicians and medical bureaucrats.
18/19
The CDC estimated at the end of September that we had more than 50 million infections. Since that time, that number has likely doubled.

Those of us who are healthy and wealthy must stop allowing the poor and sick to bear the burden.

npr.org/sections/coron…
We can't wait until the vaccine is widely available. Doing so will result in a full year of education lost for the bottom half of our country. It will result in tens of thousands more lives lost to despair. It will result in the permanent destruction of 10s of millions of jobs
19/19

We must stop allowing our public officials to visit this kind of harm upon our fellow citizens. The goal is wrong. We don’t need to stop the spread, we need to stop it from spreading to the most vulnerable.

Instead, every action we are currently taking either speeds the spread, or results in its spreading more quickly among the most at-risk, or otherwise harming them.

Don’t you find it even a little odd lecturing other states on how to handle COVID, when NYC, where your publisher resides, has the highest death count in the world 3170/million? That is almost 3x the national average of 1271.
@DLeonhardt 2/n
It is more than every single state. In fact, it is more than double every single state except, NJ, NY, MA, RI, MS, CT, SD, ND, LA, AZ, and IL. It is 3x higher than 20 states.
@DLeonhardt 3/n
It is 4x higher than 10 states: NC, OK, KY, NH, VA, WA,UT, OR, MA, AL, VT, and HI. It is more than double every single country in Europe—and NYC has a larger population than 28 out of 48 countries.

Over the weekend, I experienced a truly amazing thing—a functioning society. I left dystopian Massachusetts for Utah, and in Utah I found a packed airport and the closest thing to normal I have experienced in 10 months.

I went to busy restaurants every night, and two of the three nights got to listen to live music, including—gasp—live singing and a band! After skiing, we sat around a firepit drinking, and met new people.

I met a friend whom I haven’t seen in a year and gave her a hug, without either of us giving a second thought. I met family and extended family; all greeted us with a warm embrace, a wide smile, and quickly ushered us inside.

Meet Jo. Jo is a 20-something MPH who works for the CDC. Jo’s model is being used to decide who gets vaccinated in the U.S. Jo is a proud American who lives on “occupied Mvskoke land”.

Jo is a scientist, but rather than use the reported vaccine efficacy (90-100%), Jo’s model used an estimate of 70%. Jo's model also doesn't take into account the highly age-stratified risk of COVID published by the CDC.

cdc.gov/coronavirus/20…
3/n
The CDC says the risk of death is 270x higher for 70+ as those aged 18-50. Jo’s model ignored the highly lethal nature of this disease to the elderly, so Jo was able to recommend that younger essential workers be prioritized above the elderly, because the elderly are whiter.
