Mental health care we were talking about Trump’s pathology well before the 2016 primaries. Where was the discussion of his aberrant behavior then?

Interviews with psychiatrists and psychologists?

Many people are dead now because of Trump’s psychopathology.
Shouldn’t it be truth over neutrality?
Warnings of dangerousness over entertainment?

How have other narcissistic psychopath leaders gone out?

With a bang of violence not a whimper.
No one can predict exactly what a dangerous narcissistic psychopath with cult power over people will do when faced with public accountability and exposure, but Trump is not going to go cold turkey on his exploitive and destructive behavior.

Every day feels like this dystopian game of Russian Roulette that we never wanted to play. I want to stop asking my husband, “How many Covid patients did you treat today?” like our lives are a constant gamble of chance against the brainwashed spread of disinformation and death.
We trained at one of the top transplant centers in the nation so I’m well aware how easily, despite everyone’s best intentions and precautions, sometimes an opportunistic infection can’t be stopped.
I want to stop calculating the odds he/we at least outlast the narcissism and ignorance of this administration and Trumpers going to bars, restaurants, and parties, until the competency and humanity of Biden and Harris, until a vaccine?

It’s a crapshoot alright.

Trump will never concede like he’s never been able to accept that HRC won the popular vote in 2016. He will continue to make himself the victim of subversion (rigging, fraud, betrayal). There will be many public and private scapegoats. He’s already devalued Fox News.
His sycophants and supporters will become more irrational in their attempts to appease and support him, becoming even more disconnected from reality. You’ll be shocked. We’re entering a more dangerous time.

This tweet hit a nerve because recently I’ve recalled an incident from early in my life, a time when I felt manipulative deceit. Although it was not directly dangerous to my health, I got a small glimpse of the manipulative power of governments over people.
In the early 80s a gymnast from the Soviet Union wanted to make a trade for one of my leotards. I said I’d trade for her track suit jacket. My 🇨🇦 hockey loving dad would think the rival CCCP insignia was cool. When I met her for the trade she seemed scared, the CCCP was removed.
While this Soviet gymnast didn’t have a choice, I distinctly remember the feeling of being deliberately deceived. In my heart I knew it wasn’t her fault so I gave up a beautiful (expensive) leotard for a sterile red jacket with no Soviet insignia.

Agree. Trump was headed for the helicopter and then realized he needed to wait for Melania. Narcissists can not stand looking dumb/making a mistake. In their attempted recovery, the deflection makes them look worse.

Don’t be fake news. You’re giving him exactly what he wants.
There’s infinite evidence of mental unfitness and cognitive impairment without using misrepresentation.
Exploiting context is what psychological abusers of Trump’s pathology do. Don’t be party to it.

Donald Trump is “other.” He’s not like most humans — he’s conscienceless. He’s damaged, defective, compromised. Who do these insecurities and feelings of worthlessness get projected onto? Others. People who are not him by gender or skin color.
His misogyny, his racism, and his xenophobia can be explained by his defense against being a conscienceless other. He externalizes or projects his unwanted defectiveness onto others who are different or “other.”
Trump treats women, people of color and foreigners as compromised, worthless, defective and dangerous. All the things that are true about his conscienceless being. All his fears, insecurities and obsessions about his own otherness become irrational feelings about “others.”
