THE PROBLEM WITH LAGOS WORLD VIEW
When he was announced president-elect, Joe Biden acknowledged he will make mistakes and would try to correct them. Buhari failed woefully in this regard. But to ask, accountability warriors, how well are you accountable to yourself, to learning?
Y'all will goof less, if you will restrain yourselves to arguing within your limitations. Its very easy to remove 1000 pupils from a school in Sahel North. I served & lived 2yrs in Yobe, where houses are separated by more than 50 kilometres of desert sand in places like Yusufari.
The point is, there are a hoarde of Nigerian twitter citizenry, who have become bewitched with faux pas infallibility standards, induced by a myopic internet psychology of irrational beliefs. Nonetheless, nothing would have changed, if Buhari is the type that admits fallibility.
Did Buhari not say he will lead war against Boko'haram from the front? Baba don calm down, tasting in real life, enormity of Nigeria's problems. For his conscience, he should admit his failings; not because of keypad activists who can't manage mere romantic affairs with women.
The burden of govt is enormous. So also is the burden of development. British colonial govt started constructing narrow gauge railway from Lagos in 1896. It didnt get to Nguru until 1929! It took 33yrs under conditions where Nigerians were driven like slaves with hardly any wage!
Nigeria doesn't end at your state capital. Before contriving an abhorrent notion of what it takes to govern inland Nigeria and its borders, take a trip from Jakusko in Yobe to Funtua, Katsina; from Biu to Ikom. Obudu mountain range alone can swallow the entire Lagos population!
Daily temperature in Tulo-Tulo, Yobe averages 47°C. It's easy to wonder why others didn't submit themselves to serving as policemen in these places, but not a single one of the people running social media commentary about banditry in the North will agree to spend the night there.
Its descent to limit ourselves to discussing Lagos bad roads, despite that the embezzlement Orji Kalu got away with in Abia is the same amount Babangida built 3rd Mainland Bridge. These are issues within our reach, since discussing corruption in the judiciary have become sacred.
There's nothing wrong with asking more from govt. But you will not die, if u also seek to understand scale of problems before pontificating from a beer parlour. Attenuate your criticisms with existing realities, instead of acting like Dele Momodu, a foolishness embodied in flesh.

EVEN IF NIGERIA IS A MESS
I parcelled used Bubas that needed amendment through UK Royal Mail for door-to-door delivery. When it arrived Nigeria, NIPOST EMS called that customs demanded i should pay N27,000. It sounded like a joke because these are used clothes.
After I paid, EMS insisted I have to come and collect a door-to-door delivery at Ikeja Post office. How is it door delivery, if I have to pick it up at Ikeja post office. These are frustrations we face daily. I'm already battling NIPOST to see this practice brought to an end.
The lady that was denied capturing at the passport office, because of her lashes, raised a dust about it. And she returned here to acknowledge the authorities responded and she got redress. What about the law school hijab too? The lady that stood up to it, paved way for others.
COMIC RELIEF - Part 1
Note: My countenance in this short video is part of the drama and its deliberate. Forgive me, I'm not available to reply comments.
BEFORE YOU'RE USED NEXT TIME
Have you heard or read about "soft facts?" Read it up. Disinformation communications is a new knowledge domain that embodies use of "soft facts" to steer perceptions and experiences of security and safety at individual, group and institutional levels.
I've parted ways, in some cases physically, in some cases psychologically, with as many people, as much as I have met in life, who turned blind eye to a glaring anarchical circumstances, where hoodlums started burning our things down in Lagos, because there's a point to prove.
If we do an introspective plus-delta, our conscience will see it that firstly and, admittedly, the Nigerian Army's tactics at the Lekki Tollgate is totally unacceptable, irrespective of whatever side of the argument you belonged to. The initial finger pointing made it all uglier.
SEX IN THE SUN
The presence of sunlight may have been the reason why Nigerians have endured and may continue endure lack of electricity. By my estimation, Lagos alone save up to $10Million yearly by using sun to dry clothes, and without a cold weather that requires home heating.
Ekiti and Ondo would need thrice their federal allocation as drying cost for cocoa, cassava and many other food processes that requires drying, if yearly availability of sunlight drops by half. A productive cocoa farmer would need at least 308 million BTU of heat. 1kWh = 3412BTU.
I read it that UK spends ~£100,000 on vitamin D between October, and March of the following year. Its been said vitamin D is crucial to building a formidable immune system. If this is true, God sent us here prepared. We didn't only become fortified through exposures to diseases.
WHEN ARE WE ENDING JUDICIARY?
Nigerian judiciary emerged victorious as #1 on Nigeria's corruption index, with $25Million in offered and paid bribe. A kid sister who excitedly started practise lamented her rude shock of, what reality is, at d registry of Federal High Court, Ikoyi.
If a murderous SARS is put before trial, he'll face this same justice system, with a wooden stick used to prevent its symbol of equity from toppling over. Are you truly interested in governance or you hate Buhari, or you are just being used by being part of a topic that's trendy?
Protest remains a viable means of putting pressure on govt to act. And there was nothing wrong with #EndSars, but it remained a joke to see such a viable protest end in conversations about terminating a govt, and lawyers who objected to arrest of corrupt judges are the curators.
IF GOWON LOOTED CBN... @TomTugendhat who made an unheard-of accusation that Gowon looted half of CBN was barely 2years old when Gowon was removed in 1975. It was in 1973, the year @TomTugendhat was born, "Gowon gave the original Benin Bronze head to Queen Elizabeth as a gift."
Gowon built 3rd Mainland Bridge up to the Adekunle end and other enduring landmark in Lagos till date. He built Kanji Dam as we know it. But the focus here is about @TomTugendhat pointing us to the veracity of his claims that Gowon looted CBN, if he was 2yrs old when it happened.
If the civil war was fought under Gowon, then only God knows how CBN came about the money Gowon looted. Oil boom started just 2yrs before he was removed and our parents told us he paid UDOJI, which remained an unreplicated good time for Nigeria and Nigerian workers till today.
