NEWS w @ShaneGoldmacher - Trump has raised more than $60 mill and Lara Trump and Pence's nephew were early incorporators and on board of AMMC, the entity that much Trump $ was funneled through nytimes.com/2020/12/18/us/…
Both Lara Trump and John Pence stepped down from the board of AMMC in October 2019. When @ShaneGoldmacher and I asked about another Trump family member possibly being on the board wks ago, a campaign aide said no Trump family members were on the board. True but misleading
Parscale told @ShaneGoldmacher and me months ago that spending he did on campaign was done with knowledge of Trump family. Our new reporting on the Trump/Pence family members involvement in AMMC bolsters that nytimes.com/live/2020/12/1…
Other items in the story - Trump has raised more than $60 million into his leadership PAC on spurious claims of widespread voter fraud denying him the election, he is sounding less into a 2024 run and isn't likely to do a big inauguration day counterprogramming attempt.
Trump White House aides are discussing in last few weeks who, if anyone, might go with him to Fla as part of a post-presidency staff for which there's GSA funding nytimes.com/2020/12/18/us/…
Also here - the president was tentatively planning a second GA trip this Saturday. But he's angry at Kemp, Raffensperger, doesn't feel like going. So he isn't. nytimes.com/2020/12/18/us/…

SCOOP - Sidney Powell was in Oval Office last night as POTUS discussed making her special counsel for election fraud. @KannoYoungs and me nytimes.com/2020/12/19/us/…
Among those pushing back on the idea was Pat Cipollone, Meadows and even Giuliani. But Giuliani separately pushed DHS this week to seize control of voting machines to examine them for possible fraud. DHS said it has no authority to do that. nytimes.com/2020/12/19/us/…
The meeting got raucous, with various administration members drifting in and out and different people arguing. Powell told others they were quitters, people people briefed on the meeting nytimes.com/2020/12/19/us/…

This is the closest to a concession Trump is going to get.
Some of the president's advisers had been urging him to let transition begin before Thanksgiving or soon after, even if he never said the word "concede."
While Giuliani was key in stoking Trump's conspiracy theories, Trump loss in PA suit made him realize Giuliani was not painting honest picture, per people briefed on what's taken place.

Um she was at the nearly 2-hour press conference w Giuliani and Trump mentioned her in a tweet. Hard to put the toothpaste back etc
Apparently there was a big fight among the “elite strike force” members yesterday, per people briefed. One Trump aide said, “One down, two to go.”
Someone raises a question - is Powell bound by privilege now that the campaign has said she isn't a lawyer for the president?

@jimrutenberg @NYTnickc @reidepstein and me on Trump's effort to subvert the election > nytimes.com/2020/11/19/us/…
"The few people who have tried to intervene and tell him that it is time to let Mr. Biden begin a transition have been shut down by Mr. Trump." nytimes.com/2020/11/19/us/…
Of note, the Oval Office is normally a place aides would clamor to spend time in. These days, almost everyone is avoiding going in, either to avoid getting yelled at or to avoid getting asked their opinion nytimes.com/2020/11/19/us/…

Giuliani is now acting out a scenario of a voter learning they voted already at this press conference.
Very elaborate, with a character named Rudy Giuliani as the voter.
"Did you all watch 'My Cousin Vinny?' It's one of my favorite movies..." I hope @Danjanison is watching this

NEW: Multiple people briefed on the request say Giuliani sought $20k a day for Trump legal work; Giuliani denies it and calls people who said it a "liar."
@nytmike and me nytimes.com/2020/11/17/us/…
The amount was rejected, and it's unclear how much Giuliani will be paid, according to multiple people briefed on the discussions. But some close to the president fear the former mayor sees the opportunity to get paid well by encouraging ongoing suits nytimes.com/2020/11/17/us/…
Giuliani insists it's not so, points out he worked pro bono for Trump during Mueller. Says Trump volunteered to him that they'll figure out what he's paid once this is over nytimes.com/2020/11/17/us/…
