There are people who keep insisting AOC must "wait her turn" and I remember how people said that about Obama and he never even served a full term in the Senate, thank God.
It also reminds me of how people used to insist NFL quarterbacks could only be good if they spent years and years holding a clipboard on the sidelines and nowadays it's mostly young guys who you just throw into the game and they sink or swim.
I dunno how AOC is gonna pan out. I'm inclined to think she has raw superstar talent, so who knows? But this idea that she shouldn't buck the status quo and should just sit in Congress with her mouth shut and hands in her lap is stupid and silly.
Everyone in Congress should be rattling the cages of calcified leadership and doing what they feel is best to help the most people.
AOC is gonna either be Vader or Luke, not some random Jedi who gets sliced in half during a battle scene.
